VDR developer version 1.3.24 is now available at
ftp://ftp.cadsoft.de/vdr/Developer/vdr-1.3.24.tar.bz2
*** NOTE THAT THE WARNINGS REGARDING THE USE OF VPS CONTROLLED
*** TIMERS FROM PREVIOUS RELEASE NOTES STILL APPLY!
The changes since version 1.3.23:
- Added support for analog cards such as the bt878 cards from Hauppauge (aka WinTV) for recieving and recording analog channels.
Note that this feature requires a new DVB driver (RELOADED branch)
- Changed cPES2TS::Action to support analog recordings (thanks to Linus Torvalds)
- Added first step of Windows Emulation into VDR. VDR now runs in a Windows cmd shell. To get this working you have to patch VDR with the patch 'vdr-1.3.23-cmd-ringbuffer.diff'.
- Added poison threading patches into VDR. This should fix now all threading problems seen in the past.
- Dropped support of gcc 2.95 compilation. Now you have to use at least gcc >= 3.3.
Note that this VDR version is a very unstable release because of the analog card support. Please report problems found in this version on the mailing-list.
The DVB driver I am currently using can be found at
ftp://ftp.cadsoft.de/vdr/Developer/linux...5-03-31.tar.bz2
which is the CVS 'RELOADED' version from 2005-03-31, made available as a complete
archive for your convenience.
Of course, you can also use any newer driver version.
Have fun!
Klaus
