Ich verwende s2-liplianin. Den habe ich mit diesem Befehl installiert "sudo aptitude install s2-liplianin-dkms"
Die Firmware hab ich von der Terratec Seite.

Hab ich da irgendwas falsch gemacht? Sollte ich den Treiber vielleicht mal manuell mit make und make install installieren?

UPDATE

Hab jetzt mal yavdr neu draufgemacht, dann manuell den s2-liplianin geklont kompiliert und installiert, jetzt funktioniert alles.
Hat vielleicht trotzdem jemand ne Idee wie ich das Paket zum laufen bringen könnte? Wegen der automatischen Updates...

Hat jemand die Rev. 2 dieser Karte am laufen? Wird sie vom s2-liplianin-dkms unterstützt oder muss man, wie auf der Herstellerseite beschrieben, selbst auschecken und patchen?

An alle Besitzer dieser USB-Box:

Mich würde interessieren, ob es eine oder zwei Hardware-Revisions gibt, wie die USB-IDs dieser Revisions sind und ob die Box problemlos läuft (am besten mit aktuellem Treiberpaket linux-media-dkms).
Vielleicht könntet Ihr auch die dmesg-Zeilen posten, die die Box beim Initialisieren auswirft? Danke!

Es geht darum: Ist diese Box und ihr Treiber mittlerweile zu empfehlen oder nicht?

ich hab auch sone box, aber immer noch nicht produktiv im einsatz.
habe ja euer linux-media-dkms script für debian squeeze umgefummelt und dieses paket im einsatz:
ii linux-media-dkms 0~2012-01-01.git279818.238-0+opp~1 linux-media driver in DKMS format.

Hi Opp,

vielen Dank für Dein Posting mit den Details! Also heißt das, das sie bei Dir nicht stabil läuft? Bringt sie denn überhaupt ein Bild?
Hast Du den Eindruck, dass der Treiber für die Karte ab und an durch Patches verbesserrt wird? (Ich habe jetzt nicht recherchiert bei den Commits).

um ehrlich zu sein habe ich das bis jetzt nur mit einem selbstgebauten 3.0.0 kernel und den von mir geposteten linux-media-dkms paket getestet. mit dem 3.0.0er kernel hatte ich bild aber die karte hat sich alle paar min ganz wechgehangen, mit dem linux-media-dkms läuft die karte durch aber hat sogut wie 0 empfang, von zb ard, zdf, wdr, rtl, sat1, pro7, rtl2, k1, vox in sd tut nur rtl2 mit starken artefakten. getestet mit 3 satkabeln, eins was wohl eh probs mit dem empfang hat, egal ob an meiner coolstream, dbox2 oder meiner noch im vdr verbauten cinergy 1200s und die anderen beiden laufen an den geräten einwandfrei aber die cinergy s2 usb hat da halt auch kein empfang. also total unbrauchbar das ding mit vdr 1.7.2x+.

mit kaffeine bekomme ich beim scan zwar ne menge sender rein, aber auch eher nur ein großer artefakt als bild.

unter windows7 lief sie aber ohne probleme, das hatte ich gestern aber nicht nochmals getestet, kann ich aber evtl heute abend nachholen, wenn ich zeit dafür finde.

But what the patch from Terratec against s2-liplianin repository does is just to add the id from the device to the driver to be recognized and little more things, and then it should work.

I did that way, but I also have an Hauppage WinTV Nova TD and compiled drivers witj the patch worked well for Terratec Cinergy S2 USB HD rev.2 but caused a kernel fault to the Hauppage driver, so I couldn't manage to get both working at the same time.

I tried to apply in my way the patch against the 2.6.38-13 kernel version from yavdr, but I got a buggy behaviour every sometime from Terratec Cinergy S2 USB HD rev.2

If you could add this patch to linux-media-dkms package, I could help to find out if the driver is stable enough and the device can be added to the list of supported devices.

PD: The patch from Terratec is located here: http://linux.terratec.de/files/Cinergy_S…r2_Linux.tar.gz and the file is just a TAR file, so you don't need to decompress it.

Cinergy DVB-S2 USB läuft noch nicht.

Hi,
ich habe leider gestern per Amazon die Box gekauft als Ersatz / Ergängung meiner Technotrend 2400 gekauft und sie leider noch nocht am laufen.
Installiert ist yaVDR0.4 mit den neuesten Updates und v4l-dvb-dkms

aber nix unter /dev/dvb :(
Ich habe etwas gestöbert und Hinweise gefunden, daß man die v4l-media Pakete aus testing manuell installieren sollte, aber die Links, die mit wget geladen werden sollten, antworten alle nur mit error.
Wo finde ich denn die .debs?
Ansonsten muß ich wieder selber mit kernel-basteln anfangen und das würde ich gerne vermeiden.

Sorry, die Treiber in linux-media-dkms habe ich natürlich auch versucht, aber auch ohne Erfolg (allerdings hatte ich das nicht auch hier gepostet, sondern in einem extra geöffneten Threadwie "gelöst" markierte nicht sehr oft noch besucht werden...)

Wenn ich es richtig verstanden haben sollte linux-media-dkms auch die alten S2-liplinaian Treiber enthalten, die hier mal zum Erfolg geführt hatten. Und damit dachte ich, das sollte keine Probleme geben. Aber es kommt ersten immer anders und zweitens als man denkt...

Mit dmesg | grep -i dvb erhalte ich überhaupt keine Anzeige

linux-media-dkms habe ich auch schon installiert.
Es ändert sich aber nichts.

Ich habe in einem älteren Beitrag gelesen, dass es an der USB-ID hängen kann. Ich habe aber kein Plan wie ich weiter vorgehen soll.

Soooo..... nachdem mir dieses Forum in den letzten Jahren *WIRKLICH* viel geholfen hat, darf ich hiermit etwas zurückgeben:

ich habe mir heute eine TerraTec Cinergy S2 USB gekauft um zu testen, wie man das teil zum laufen bekommt und siehe da: auch die REV 2 geht!

(das sind nur die eckpunkte... keine genauen anweisungen)

1. unter http://linux.terratec.de/tv_en.html den patch und die firmaware geladen
2. aptitude install mercurial
3. tar xvf usb-redirector-linux-x86_64.tar.gz (OHNE "z" da es nur ein tar file ist, obwohl es gz heißt)
4. im entpackten verzeichnis findet sich eine README.txt, die anweisungen dort ausführen
5. nach dem make install soll die karte funktionieren:

WICHTIG: sollte die karte nicht funktionieren, sind die module nicht ordnungsgemäß in das kernelverzeichnis übernommen worden. ich habe (entschuldigung für diese "häßliche" aktion):
1. aptitude remove linux-media-dkms
2. im kernel module verzeichnis ( /lib/modules/2.6.38-13-generic/kernel/drivers/) das media verzeichnis gelöscht und anschließend nochmals make install des drivers gemacht.

die Karte funkt nun, "femon" geht nicht.

der yavdr ist hier in einer kvm voll virtualisiert, das usb device wird mittels usbsrv vom host zum client durchgereicht - aber das ist eine andere geschichte.

@compuholic: Ich bin neugierig. Wie sind Deine Erfahrungen seit Ende März bzgl. Stabilität? Kannst Du alle Sender tunen? Ist der Empfang fehlerfrei?

Ich habe gestern eine Terratec Cinergy S2 USB (Revision 2) getestet und bin ganz angetan. Kurztest von einer Stunde: Sieht bisher gut aus mit allen von mir empfangbaren HD-Kanälen, Box hängt an aktivem Multiswitch mit 2 Sat-Positionen.

Langzeittest zur Stabilität steht noch aus: Da kann immer noch alles mögliche passieren, gerade wenn mehr als eine Box involviert sind. Typische Probleme, die man von anderen Boxen kennt, wären Ansteuerung eines passiven Diseqc-Schalters, Artefakte, kein Empfang von Sendern mit außergewöhnlichen Empfangsparametern.

Werde berichten. Auch interessiert mich die Kombinierbarkeit mit einer zweiten USB Box (Technotrend S2 3600 USB oder nochmal die gleiche Terratec).

Anscheinend kann man die Revision 2 Boxen erkennen an der Farbe der Plastik-Außenhülle. Wo die Frontseite beider Geräte wohl immer weiß ist, ist die Oberseite der Box (und die Seiten) silberfarben bei der Revision 2. Bei der ersten Revision ist die ganze Box wahrscheinlich komplett weiß. Auf der Packung ist ein Seriennummern-Aufkleber, wo bei mir sowas wie " revision 2" draufsteht. Alle Angaben ohne Gewähr.

Getestet habe ich unter Precise mit einem brandaktuellen linux-media-dkms, das traxanos gestern gebacken hat und das einen extra Patch für die Karte enthält.

Nee, die Revision 2 hat die USB-ID 0ccd:00b0. Allerdings patcht der Patch nur neue IDs in vorhandene Treiber rein.

Interessant wäre nun zu wissen, ob beide Revisionen die gleichen Treiber verwenden. Ist denn Dene USB-ID in linux-media-tree drin?

jop im linux-media-tree und kernel am 3.0.0 ist die enthalten, aber empfang wie bei der mystique satix s2 pci unter aller sau.
