MVControl - Mobile Control of VDR
Description / Requierements
MVControl consists of two parts:
* MVControlServer
A Java Server that lets (multiple) MVControl-Clients connect. It communicates via SVDRP with vdr and can grab still images from the video4linux device with JMF.
* MVControl
A MIDP2-Application, that connects to MVControlServer. It request some still images from the server and display them. Planned is a module-style expansion possibility for various vdr tasks like setting/changing timers. at the moment some key-presses are transmitted to the server (like up/down or the numbers). so you can change channels!
You will need:
* Klaus Schmidingers VDR :->
* A Java Bluetooth implementation (see below)
* A mobile phone supporting MIDP2 / CLDC1.0 / JSR-82
Based on the first experiences you guys out there collect, i will write a Installation howto. at the moment the documentation is bit small...
