Habe bisher minisatip bisher nicht zum laufen bekommen.
wie kann man feststellen ob minisatip überhaupt gestarte wird?
Gibt es da Befehle um es zu testen?

Herzlichen Dank Cinfo! Konnte das Deb Paket per WINSCP /Putty installieren habe die IP / VLAN eingetragen unter ETC/default/minisatip:(VLAN2) und 2 Netceiver Karten DVBS zugeordnet

"OPTIONS: -n eth0.2:1 -w 192.168.1.XXX:8080 -o 127.0.0.1:9001 -e 0,1 -b 15640"

Als Client habe ich eine VUPLUS DUO/ SOLO2 / SE Enigma2 Dreambox clone), dort erscheint dann unter Kanalsuche SAT>IP dann Tuner 0 (Taste Gelb), Suchen der Minisatip server auf mit 2x DVBS.Dann den neuen virtuellen Tuner noch einrichten unter Tuner (VTI Image). Also nochmals eine Client alternative, mit VUZERO kostengünstig.
Ich muss noch schauen wie die Performance ist.

Jetzt ist es mir klar wohin die Startoption von Deinem Posting hin muss nämlich nach default/minisatip. Das war auch mein Problem.

SUPER!!! Müsste auch noch sehen ob es auch mit den CI Karten funktioniert.

ich hoffe, ich bin hier richtig, wenn ich Starthilfe benötige.

Ich habe in 2014 meinen ersten Versuch mit BM2LTS gestartet, bin dann aber wieder abgestorben.

Im Oktober 2015 mich angemeldet, die aktuelle Software geladen und installiert. Bei Kodi sah und sehe ich jetzt kein live-TV, auch sonst finde ich keine „Anwendung unter der Oberfläche, wenn ich mich als Reel anmelde, die irgendwie auf live-TV hinweisen könnte (also keine Anwendung, die Reel, BM2LTS, VDR, oder ähnlich)

Dann war ich erstmal traurig und hab das Thema wieder ignoriert.

Jetzt möchte ich noch einen Versuch starten - ich denke, ich hab wohl noch einige grundsätzliche Dinge hier noch nicht verstanden.

Der Rechner, den ich mit BM2LTS installiert habe (Beschreibung unten), soll den zentralen Mediaserver darstellen, der später auf dem Dach stehen soll. Alle Fernseher sollen eine Amazone-Fire-Box bekommen, um überall dieselbe Oberfläche und Funktionen zu bekommen – ich hoffe, dass kann so funktionieren.(?1)

Aktuell ist er nur mit einem Sat-Kabel verbunden und es hängt ein Fernseher über die Grafikkarte dran – (Sollte ich hier ein Bild bekommen, wenn ja mit welcher Anwendung?2)

-eHD-Karte – wir sie benötigt, wenn man einen PC, als „Kopfstation“ aufsetzen möchte? (ich hatte irgendwie „Reelbox Avantgarde I u. II-Server als Kopfstation (auch ohne eHDe)“ gelesen, hier im Forum-Eingang steht , dass sie benötigt wird- ich gehe davon aus, dass sie benötigt wird – richtig? (?3)

(Muss ich, um ein „Live-TV-Bild“ zu bekommen, den Fernseher (kein HD TV), der am „Server“ angeschlossen ist an die die eHD-Karte anschließen (anderer Steckertyp (2x HDMI)), oder kann der auf der Grafikkarte (DVI/HDMI) bleiben? (?4)

Sollte es eine Anwendung geben, wo man erkennen kann, ob die Sat-Karten erkannt wurden, wie die Signalstärke ist,… oder?

(Ich meine mit der ganz alten(2014) Version, konnte man (ich meine) „Reel“ starten und konnte das sehen

Ist das so, wie komme ich dahin? (?5)

Die DVD, mit der Installationssoftware ist von Sep 2015 – wenn ich damit eine neue Installation durchführe, zieht sich das System automatisch die aktuellen Versionen? (?6)

Das Thema Multiroom-TV ist mir sehr wichtig.

Gibt es eine Beschreibung, wie es mit Kodi funktioniert - wenn es denn überhaupt geht – ich hoffe, da es ja bei Reel ging.

Wenn es funktioniert, fehlt mir die Vorstellung, wie ich das bei Kodi einstellen kann. (?7)

could you please include a script in route66 making autologin with Kodi + EHD (non nuc hardware - Gigabyte C1037UN-EU).
Currently when switching between the EHD output and the HDMI output of the motherboard I need to put the password in Ubuntu every time (user: reel) which is far from a good HTPC experience.

das sollte aber auch beim OSD bei der autom. Generierung von interfaces berücksichtigt werden.

Was ist die Ursache ? Dass pulse alle 1,76ms dran kommen soll scheint recht optimistisch

I am not absolutely sure, whether I understood you the right way...

You want to start the VDR through EHD and in parallel have the KODI running from the Motherboard Grafics ?

This is the way I start my system...

The way I managed that was to

1. install my normal Hardware environment (choose AVGII with external Netceiver in route66)

2. then I log in with putty and perform following steps (copied from the NUC section in the route66 scrpit):

#Anmeldeverhalten Ubuntu-Desktop anpassen
			cd /etc/lightdm
			rm lightdm.conf
			cp lightdm.conf.nuc lightdm.conf
			#KODI-Autostart steuern
			cd /home/reel/.config/autostart
			rm kodi.desktop
			cp kodi.desktop.nuc kodi.desktop

Then with every start of my Reelbox KODI starts automatically in the Background and I only have to switch the Inputs at the TV whether I want to use VDR (HDE) or KODI(Motherboard Graphics).

Thank you very much for your reply. Yes this is exactly what i want to achieve.
I did performed the steps according to your advise. And yes, now kodi boots directly over motherboard HDMI, but the EHD is not coming online.
I have the screen during the booting process with EHD wallpaper for about 5 seconds and then no output.

Are you using the latest 2.89 Installation ?

Which Hardwareconfiguration did you choose as a base before you performed this steps ?

If you do not have a Reelbox than you should not select the Reelbox configuration, but the normal one you used before...

Is the green LED on the HDE lighting , or is it yellow ?

Did you check whether the HDE was booting right just before you performed this steps ?

Because of different tests I performed this with 2.89 and the AVGII with ext NCV configuration at least 20 times and I never had the issue that it corrupted the start of the HDE...

Did you try a cold start also ?

Thanks for your rapid reply maier 2505.
I have just reinstalled the image.
Started the route66 script and chose step 1 and 2 (reelbox avg with an external netceiver). Rebooted and everything was in a working state.
Performed your suggested steps and I still have EHD and kodi started automatically on the MB HDMI.
All done.

p.s. Something I have noticed since I modified my AVG with a relatively modern motherboard. Although the system boots for around 15 seconds (SSD installed) the EHD is outputting the picture on the screen probably two minutes later. Once started it is working great. What might cause the delay. It is not a pain and I can live with it but just curious?

Fine, good that it works now !

The HDE has its own Linux OS which is loaded from the SSD during the boot process.

So it is normal that it takes a while before the picture is present.

Nevertheless with my new Kontron Board and a i5-3550S and SSD picture is present after roughly 1 minute, this is the fastest I can achieve.

I am working with fixed IP Adresses and I have deactivated all unused eth interfaces in the interfaces file.

Please read the Hardware thread for details.

It should be faster than 2 Minutes, something is causing a delay.

EDIT: Just had a look into the Board specification. The Dual-core Celeron® 1037U processor (1.8 GHz) is much less performant than mine, but 2 Minutes is more or less slower than my normal AVGII...

Thanks for the explanation.
After reading your post decided to use a stop watch from cold boot the receiver to the moment the picture is presented. Exactly 83 seconds. So probably I over-stated a bit.
I am generally very happy with this setup now as I can completely retire my Kodi based standalone HTPC as BM2LTS is doing both (TV and Kodi) great.
The only thing I am missing is the audio-engine changes in the last Kodi where I cant successfully setup my audio settings and the HD audio formats are somehow strange- never seen DTS-HD MA or DD-HD blinking on my Onkyo 875 (Multi-channel instead). But this is a separate issue, not a problem of BM2LTS itself.
