    That sounds more like a problem with your remote control, your infrared receiver or the programs/drivers you are running them with. That behavior does not seem to have anything to do with a bad recording.


    In a bad recording VDR normally either skips the bad parts or cancels the playback alltogether. It does not start skipping around until being stopped.


    However... the only thing you can do to solve that problem is looking into the logfiles.


    /var/log/messages would be the file you have to look into when the problem occurs again.

    I think you should describe your problem better. Do you have some jumps during playback like if you press a key on your remote control or do you get some interferences?
    I observed again some problems in a system with two full featured DVB-S cards. In such a system I get/got some strange behaviour while replaying. In fact it looked like a bad signal while recording. But I definitely had a good signal while live viewing. In the past I solved that problem with an additional budget card. All problems gone. But I don't know if this is exactly your problem.
