Wireless keyboard for yaVDR 0.4 - Recommendation

  • Can anyone recommend me a good wireless keyboard that ideally works out of the box on yavdr 0.4 (xineliboutput & XBMC). Something with good range, not too big (ideally no numeric pad).

I know about the dinovo mini but think it might be impractical - keys are too small?

    thanks

  • I am using the LC-Power K1000BMW and it works fine. link

Prior to that keyboard I had a Trust KB-2950 which I cannot recommend.

  • Hi Charlie.

We have found the problem? Was it the keyboard? An answer here would be nice.

  • Hi,

i am using a "Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard K400". It works out of the box, is quiet small and the price is accaptable (39€). The Keyboard is without numeric pad but with touch pad.

In germany we need to change the language of the terminal (it doesnt work in yavdr0.4 "ubuntu natty" during the installation correctly) with

    Code
    sudo dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration

    .

  • The keyboard language works correctly if automatic configuration has not been choosen during install. This seems to be an ubuntu bug.

See here (although its german): http://www.yavdr.org/documenta…ch01s03.html#installation

OT: Maybe there is a talented english/german speaking writer out there who wants to help to translate the documentation :) -if yes PM us or write us a mail :P
