bei mir läuft vdpau problemlos unter gentoo. Da meine Glaskugel im Moment kaputt ist, kann ich Dir aber ohne weitere Informationen nicht helfen.

so also ich hob folgendes versucht:

so schlug autogen.sh total schief. weil ich >autmake-1.10 installiert habe.
Also hab ich in der autogen.sh die version angeglichen:

Bei mir läuft xine-vdpau (284) unter Gentoo.
Hast du schon dein System auf den neusten Stand gebracht? Wenn nicht, könntest du das mal versuchen. (Vorsicht, kann lange dauern und aufwändig sein)

Mal ne Frage an die, die vdr-xine bzw. vdr-sxfe mit VDPAU unter Gentoo am laufen haben:
Wie stabil & Produktiv tauglich läuft das bei euch?
Ich bin mit dern Bildqulität sehr zufrieden, aber es gibt da immer wieder ein paar Probleme bei mir.
Erst habe ich vdr-xineliboutput-1.0.4+DF-Patches + vdr-sxfe ausprobiert. Geht im Prinzip, aber es kommt sporadisch zu Freezern (Standbild und kein Ton mehr) beim Zappen. wenn der Sender erstmal läuft, ist das ganze aber stabil und TV schauen ohne Probleme möglich. Zappen ist an sich aber nicht sehr sauber, beim Umschalten sind in den ersten 1-2 Sekunden in 50% der Fälle noch "Reste" vom alten Sender zu sehen (als so ne art Blockartefakte).
Hab dann mal vdr-xine-0.9.3 ausprobiert. Hier ist Zappen überhaupt kein Problem. Das Umschalten geht ansich schon viel schneller, keine Blockartefakte sichtbar, keine Freezer, sieht also schon sehr gut aus. Allerdings läuft das wiederum im Betrieb nicht sehr stabil. Entweder fällt manchmal der Ton aus (lässt sich durch Zappen oder restarten von xine beheben), und manchmal fängt dann auch das Bild mit an "zu stottern", so als gebe es Framedrops. Dieser Zustand heilt sich auch nicht von selbst, es ist dann wieder zappen oder frontend restarten nötig.
Sieht diese Phänomene bekannt/normal beim aktuellen xine/vdpau Stand, oder habe ich das mal wieder nur?

Bei mir läuft jetzt seit ca. 14 Tagen xine 0.9.3, xinelib 1.2 mit vdpau und df-patches auf (plain) gentoo. Habe von FF auf Budget gewechselt und mir auch so meine Sorgen bezüglich Stabilität gemacht. Aufgesetzt habe ich das ganze gemäss Anleitung von wbreu. Ergebnis: Absolut stabil, bisher noch kein Crash, Hänger o.ä. Einziges Problem in seltenen Fällen: Probleme beim Versetzen von Schnittmarken.

ich hab den Thread durch Google gefunden, weil ich auch Probleme hatte, Xine 1.2 unter Gentoo zu bauen (aus einem ebuild). Zum einen gibt es kaum ebuilds, im flameeyes-overlay bin ich aber letztendlich fündig geworden.
Leider hat dies keine vdpau unterstützung und es baute bei mir nicht, mit einer Fehlermeldung die ich hier fand. Ich habe ein bisschen rumexperiment und eine Lösung gefunden - es wird automake 1.9 benötigt. Ich habe das Ebuild entsprechend angepasst - es baut jetzt durch und kennt vdpau als Useflag.
Die Änderungen gegenüber dem ebuild in flameeyes-overlay sind diese:

Ich habe es nach /usr/local/portage/media-libs/xine-lib gelegt und entsprechend in PORTDIR_OVERLAY eingetragen.
Es muss natürlich noch Automake 1.9 installiert sein!
