Which problem?
You can use the 2.6 driver for the em84 (http://sourceforge.net/projects/em84xx/) with the Netstream 2k API and the em84xx plugin.

ZitatYou can use the 2.6 driver for the em84 (http://sourceforge.net/projects/em84xx/) with the Netstream 2k API and the em84xx plugin.
Does it working with 2.6.x kernel?? There is no hardware specific code inside kernel modules in that project. Have U get it working with em84xx???
As mentioned before this driver works with the NS2k Driver API from ftp://ftp.sigmadesigns.com/Net…ream2000-1.6.95.16.tar.gz - I don't know why this is not stated in the driver README.
If you want to use DVD playback take a look here: [Announce] DVD playback für Kernel 2.6 mit em84
And yes: it works with VDR and the em84xx plugin.
And: accelerated divx playback is _not_ possible with this driver and em847x!

no video out also
My step is :
copy N2k lib ->/usr/lib
how can i install the Driver ?
many errors in my systerm when I install EM84XX drivers in Deiban sarge 2.6.15.7
AFAIK the Sigma Lib won't work on Debian Sarge - at least Woody doesn't work.
And without any log/error messages it's hard so see what happens ...
And please: don't use 2 accounts/nicks! I wonder why you registered twice???

no,I only one nickname hahago ,another is not me
All works fine with arvdr (Debian Sarge)
I use X-card em8475
2.6.15.7 and 2.6.17.13 tested
DVD work too (packetcommand)
But i have some trouble...
How i can select video out mode on x-card (s-video, RGB, etc)?
When I play DVD on 16/9 TV, I have incorrect aspect ratio. All plays as 4:3.
Zoom in 16/9 from dvb have incorrect place on screen (I think so..)
sorry bad english...

Great - do you use the default libc?

But i have some trouble...
How i can select video out mode on x-card (s-video, RGB, etc)?
There are some functions for this - I'm not sure if they will work for an em847x - but I will check them.

In DVD mode right now the settings from the em84xx are not used, but overwritten by the sigma dvdplayer code. I will modify this in the next version of the plugin.

but no video out ,how can i do ?
I use default Sigma libs.
One of the trouble, in realmagic driver ver 2.1 not present MAKEDEV-EM84XX.sh. I search it very long time, and found in driver ver 1.2 on this forum.
All others have't problems for make it (em84xx plugin, mplayer, dvd driver).
If I use rmmod packetcommand module after inserting, need reboot comp, x-card locked.
I have't OSD with mplayer now, may be I incorrect compiled it.
AC3 sound play very fine in passthrough mode, from x-card internal spdif out to internal audigy2zs spdif input.
my xcard (em8470) can not be loadded when systerm up
I make the device ,then give out a fle realmagic84xx.ko,then put this file to /lib/modules/2.6.15.7/
I type "insmod /lib/modules/2.6.15.7/realmagic84xx.ko"
but syslog can not out anything about this card .
I think the xcard is not drivered by systerm,What happend ?
so the vdr give out many error information
Segmentation fault
Help me with it ! my systerm is Debian sarge 2.6.15.7 and with Arvdr
I change sourcefile
#define DEVICE_ID_XCARD 0x8470
then make realmagic84xx.ko
When i type insmod realmagic84xx.ko
then syslog:
Dec 10 20:49:41 arvdr kernel: em84xx: IRQ 255 not free.
Dec 10 20:49:41 arvdr kernel: quasar: probe of 0000:01:0d.0 failed with error -5
what's wrong ? help with it ,Thank you !
I need this support em8470 ,anyone know about it ?
help please!
my is lib 2.3.2
how upgrade to 2.3.4?
Not in libc-2.3.4 trouble.
realmagic84xx driver don't works with em8470.
It works with em8400 and em8475 only.
in realmagicdev.h
#define VENDOR_ID_SIGMAD 0x1105
#define DEVICE_ID_EM8400 0x8400
#define DEVICE_ID_XCARD 0x8475
in realmagicdev.c
// NOTE: at the moment we only have support for one card
Need add em8470 support in realmagic driver.
