Woher hast Du die dongle.bin?
Ich hab mir die neueste Version vom Hauppauge-Server geladen, aber das ist nur 22223...
Hatte bei Euch schon mal jemand das Problem, dass die MediaMVPs die Verbindung zum VDR verlieren und sich danach auch nicht mehr Starten lassen (bleiben dann beim Laden irgendwann stehen), wenn man gleichzeitig eine Aufnahme am VDR laufen hat?
Hab in meinem VDR 2 TT-DVB-S-Budget-Karten drin, das sollte ja eigentlich kein Problem sein. Jedenfalls sollte in keinem Fall einfach die MediaMVP abstürzen...

Würd mich freuen, wenn jemand einen Tip für mich übrig hat!

P.S.: Kann die MediaMVP eigentlich noch kein Timeshifting? Wenn nein -> Gibt es dafür einen ebstimmten Grund, oder hatte Dominic nur noch keien Zeit/Lust? Die Original-Software soll das ja können... Wenn doch --> Wie?

Die sind ja lustig bei Hauppauge - warum packen die denn auf ihre englische Homepage neuere Softwarerevisionen als auf die deutsche? Ich dachte immer, das sei eine deutsche Firma - oder verwechsel ich das jetzt?
[edit: Hab schon gesehen, die kommen aus New York...ich hab das wohl mit Terratec verwechselt]

Den Picture-Viewer habe ich bei mir auch noch nicht aktiviert bekommen - ist der wirklich wieder rausgefolgen? Weiß da jemand mehr dazu? Hat den schon jemand mit 0.1.5 am laufen?

och nööö lass den beitrag lieber hier wir anfänger hier habe unter
linvdr schlecht die möglichkeit das plugin zu kompelieren und hoffen
auf einen retter der das schon am laufen hat.
und uns zum download zurverfügung stellt.was wir dan reinschieben können.
wir sitzen leider auf eine plugiversion wo man di aufnahmen nicht spulen kan.

also warten .....oder linvdr0.7 oder6.b.

aber nu mal nur als Interesse ich habe das hier gefunden..
eine readme aus einenm mvpmc Packet.
Heißt das man kan eine Dongle.bin nehmen und sie so unstricken das sie die vdr (mpeg) files über nfs vom vdr lesen kann.??
Währe dan nicht auch das spulen besser?.

Usage
-----

To use the dongle builder, you will probably want to run it something
like the following:

./dongle_build.sh -d /tftpboot/dongle.bin -o dongle.bin.new

This will extract the kernel modules out of the Hauppauge supplied dongle.bin
file in /tftpboot, and add them to the filesystem in "fs", and build a new
dongle file called dongle.bin.new.

By default, the init script /etc/rcS will attempt to tftp a file from
the tftp server called ${DONGLE}.config. The filename is the same as the
bootfile with .config appended to it (ie, dongle.bin.new.config). It will
then source the contents of this file and execute the contents with the
shell. This means that you can change the way the mediamvp boots by
modifying a file on the tftpserver, rather than recreating the ramdisk.

mvpmc
-----

mvpmc is the MediaMVP Media Center. It can play mpeg1/mpeg2 videos
off NFS and a MythTV server. It can also play mp3 files, and display
various image types (bmp, gif, jpg, png). I would suggest a config file
like the following:

rdate -s $SERVER
mkdir /video
/etc/nfsmount.sh ${SERVER}:/video /video
/bin/mvpmc -f /etc/helvR10.fnt -s 192.168.1.1 -r /video/recordings &

Currently, mvpmc gets the MythTV program guide info via the MythTV
protocol, but it plays the recordings via NFS. This means you need
to tell myth_browser the IP address of your myth backend, and the NFS
mountpoint where your recordings are.

The options to mvpmc are:

# mvpmc -h
Usage: mvpmc <options>
-a aspect aspect ratio (4:3 or 16:9)
-f font font file
-h print this help
-m mode output mode (ntsc or pal)
-M MythTV protocol debugging output
-o output output method (composite or svideo)
-s server mythtv server IP address
-r path path to NFS mounted mythtv recordings
-R server ReplayTV server IP address

To use this script with your own linux kernel, use the kernel_copy.sh script
to copy the correct files into the kernel_files directory. To use your own
root filesystem, change the files in the fs directory and/or the genext2fs
spec file.

Da hab ich aber mal ne Frage zum Thema UMSCHALTEN mit der MediaMVP.....

ich hab momentan die Version 0.1.2 des Plugins am laufen, weil ich damit ALLE Kanäle durchschalten kann, ohne dass das Livebild am VDR angehalten wird. NATÜRLICH werden hier die Kanäle am VDR mitgeschaltet.

Kompiliere ich die Version 0.1.5, so hab ich diese Option nicht mehr. Hier kannn ich NUR die Kanäle auf dem gleichen Transponder, wie der aktuell eingeschaltete durchzappen.

Kann man das irgendwie einstellen, dass das auch mit der neuen Version des Plugins funzt, wie mit der 0.1.2?

Ich hab mich hier schon wundgesucht zu dem Thema. In den Changelogs hab ich auch nix gefunden

aber beim Zapping hat sich auch wohl was geändert, weil wenn ich mit Channel+ oder Channel- umschalten möchte, geht er jedesmal ins Programm Menü zurück. Ging bei Version 0.1.2 direkt.

Vielleicht isses ja auch normal in dieser Version.
