Hi. I want to take screenshots with the OSD included. Anyone know of a plugin to do this? I tried vdr-screenshot-0.0.5 but that takes a screenshot of the show only, no osd.

I only know kvdr, it takes screenshots by pressing spacebar.

please refer to the older versions of the screenshot plugin ! From the very start, when this plugin was introduced, it just took a screenshot with the osd included.
But mind that its always the same osd shown in the taken picture and it just worked with the older, stable version of vdr 1.2.6.Another possibilty would be xine, but you wrote, you don't use an X-Server or did I understand you wrong ?

Quick question. The screenshots appear to be low-res and have a black line every other line.
Any way to take a hi-res screenshot without using KDE, Xine and so on? My vdr box has no-gui installed.

How did you make it?
SVDRP screenshots aren't supposed to have horizontal lines, that sounds like interlacing and that's not supposed to happen!

I used svdrp'ed with telnet and then used the grab command.
As you can see from the attached examples, these are low-res and not very good. If you know of a way to grab hi-res screenshots with osd, please tell me! (with no gui installed that is. :))

eth GRAB commands allows some options.
you could try a different resolution or image-file-format.in don't know, why, but i don't get pictures like this wehn i use the grab command.

they got sometimes this ugly horizontal lines, too,
but I don't know why. -
I'll check what options grab has. These screenshots look like shit!!
If someone else knows what options to use with grab to get good hi-res shots, or another way to do it on a console only/no-gui vdr box, please let us know!

i'm not sure about this, but you have NTSC, almost everbody else here has PAL.
i come to think about this has to do something with this.
