    Select in menu "exit at the end". Otherwise you can exit the plugin only through the main menu, this kind of turns on the player mode, you can start a new file while the old one is playing.

    This mast sets the X frame rate as in the file, to eliminate the 50/60 Hz difference.

    Everything is described in readme:

    Back: Show the browser menu from where the last file was launched

    Stop: Stop playback, exit from plugin if exit at the end is enabled



    I tested softthddevice and softhdcuvid everything works as it should.
    Softhddrm should be as softhdcuvid, I can't test softhddrm now.

    Yes this is what happens, and on Back the replay does not stop (what I did not expect) and after 2-4 times it crashes on Stop like in the logs i linked above.

    Inj sorry I did not get the status:
    - could you trace down the crashes after 2-5 exits with the help of my logs (or was it fixed already and its just a matter of using the latest version) ?

    - did you have contact to jojo61 regading the volume prob ?

    Thx .. so you suggest to not use-v drm. cinfo i guess this will not work for us as X is not running...if so which output plugin should we use ?

    Or should we better use another video plugin ?

    Man kann jeder Zeit auf ein anderes Ausgabedevice in BM2LTS umstellen z.B. mit

    Code
    vdrctl diable softhddrm
vdrctl enable softhdvaapi

    welches Ausgabedevice das richtige ist wenn z.B. das "TV-Gerät /HDMI Schnittstelle" es was älter ist oder man einen bestimmte Auflösung mag muß jeder für sich entscheiden ;).

    Für mich ist es einfacher das Plex-Plugin zum Plex-Server zu nutzen und die Videos haben auch unter softhddrm eine Hardware-Decodierung

    Mit softhddrm ist die CPU laut top bei 17%


    Dann habe ich die mpv.conf gändert und softhdvaapi aktiviert:

-a alsa/hdmi:CARD=PCH,DEV=0
-b /media/hd/video
-r


    Die CPU läuft dann mit <5% aber leider KEIN OSD ... (-h vaapi hab ich auch versucht)

    For va-api and X use -v vaapi -h gpu.

    Maybe need the -g option too.

    -v gpu

    -h auto or -h vaapi

    works, but video seems not to be as crisp ... could this be possible ?

    cinfo ... interesting ... when using vaapi device no crashes when stopping the video ...


    @inj ... regarding the volume prob ... is there a workaround like setting the initial volume when calling mpv ?

    (but I dont think so as it should restore after leaving playback/mpv)

    Noch was: Beim runter fahren stoppt softhdvaapi nicht und es dauert ca. 1:20 bis der vdr es killt ...

    also bei mir funktioniert das mpv-Plugin unter BM2LTS v3.4.34 wunderbar .....ich verwende als Ausgabeplugin softhddrm .....

    1 Dann probier mal 3-5x hintereinander

    - einen Film starten und mit der Stop Taste zurück zum LiveTV ... irgendwann crasht der vdr


    2 wenn man so wie ich E/AC3 downmix für Dolby braucht ist die Lautstärke viiieeel zu leise und wenn du dann zum LiveTV zurück gehst schreckt der Nachbar aus dem Bett auf ;)


    3 mit softhddrm läuft der Softwaredekoder und die GPU bleibt ungenutzt

    zu 1) kann ich so nicht bestätigen

    zu 2) möglicherweise liegt es auch an dem abgespielten file ...bei mir passt es

    zu 3) in der tat läuft es mit softhddrm nicht per hardwareunterstützung, deshalb nutze ich ja auch lieber vdr-plexplugin ... da ist dann hardwareunterstützung gegeben ;)
