Du sollst im Bisektionsverfahren den Commit raussuchen, der für die Regression verantwortlich ist.

Oder einfach so lange in der Commit-Historie zurückgehen bis es wieder funktioniert.

  • Sorry, but the new version works fine with my Telestar Digibit (same hardware as your Grundig GSS 400). No Regressions.

    I installed IDL400S_V1_16_0_120.zip from http://www.inverto.tv/support/

Then the update to 1.17 will be offered.

  • A new version 1.0.1 is now available containing hotfixes.

OctopusNet owners might want to test the integrated CI:
    1) Use the attached storepmtpid patch
    2) Compile the plugin: make install SATIP_XCI=1

Used your patch, but still no success whit streamdev and encrypted channels. I enabled PAT PMT DEBUG. For example when i switch to TNT Serie, i see this in my log.

    @other users

Is streamdev/live tv working for you with encrypted channels/dvb*** on your devices?

When i did the last test on my LiveTV machine, i could see, that the VDR is not using the first device and switching to the second SAT/IP device, when i try to watch an encrypted channel.

Yes it works. And I have the impression that the switching time with the new version have become even quicker. :]

  • Which firmware version of the OctopusNET is recommended right now? I'm still running 1.0.29 as I read about problems with later versions, have these been confirmed/addressed already?

According to README since vdr-plugin-satip v1.0.0:

    Code
    - OctopusNet firmware 1.0.40 or greater recommended.

AFAIR v1.0.x does work properly only with that firmware version. I don't face any issues with that version ...

The decryption issues are all solved with v1.0.1, for luck I had also a problematic installation at some point and could proof that forth and back ... :)

    HowTo: APT pinning

  • Did you remember to enable the CI extension in the setup menu?

    Code
    svdrpsend plug satip trac 0x410

I do not have a CI extension, still Inverto iLNB

Here another log with trac 0x0410.

But maybe the Firmware is crap, if it works for other users.

    - Client1: Thermaltake DH 102 mit 7" TouchTFT * Debian Stretch/vdr-2.4.0/graphtft/MainMenuHooks-Patch * Zotac H55-ITX WiFi * Core i3 540 * 4GB RAM ** Zotac GT630 * 1 TB System HDD * 4 GB RAM * Harmony 900 * satip-Plugin

    - SAT>IP: Inverto iLNB

  • Your log looks quite good in satip wise: VDR finds the channel PMT and no timeouts.

Decryption seems to work on my LiveTV machine without streamdev. So maybe streamdev could be the problem? I will continue testing your plugin on my LiveTV machine.

    - Client1: Thermaltake DH 102 mit 7" TouchTFT * Debian Stretch/vdr-2.4.0/graphtft/MainMenuHooks-Patch * Zotac H55-ITX WiFi * Core i3 540 * 4GB RAM ** Zotac GT630 * 1 TB System HDD * 4 GB RAM * Harmony 900 * satip-Plugin

    - Client2: Alfawise H96 Pro Plus * KODI
    - Server: Intel Pentium G3220 * DH87RL * 16GB RAM * 4x4TB 3.5" WD RED + 1x500GB 2.5" * satip-Plugin
    - SAT>IP: Inverto iLNB

  • For everyone having problems with streamdev and decryption, please try if increasing TS_SCRAMBLING_TIMEOUT in the VDR's device.c makes a difference. I had a problem with EMM processing some time ago and it turned out vdr stopped sending data to the decryption plugin too early.
