Well, you may be right, the thing with failed "alsa" load seams to be the root cause of your problems, the other one seems to me just resulting issues.

What kind of usb soundcard do you have there? Vendor, model, type? Can your please show a simple "aplay -l"?

Edit. I removed that usb card and now i got VDR working. I used that usb audio because there is toshlink connector. I need check that HDMI audio support on bios if i got that way sound on my amplifier.

Well, yes, honestly I did run out of ideas regarding this USB sound box. Give google a try in searching WWW for information regarding Ubuntu Natty and your Soundbox ...

What is the usb-id, "lsusb"?

CM-106 and id is Bus 002 Device 003: ID 0d8c:0102 C-Media Electronics, Inc. CM106 Like Sound Device

I noticed that if i disabled my computer Asus P5Q mobo sound card and only boot with this usb sound card i only got mouse, and when i enabled onboard devices i got boot normally.

Also that device show correct on lsusb both ways. Yavdr0.3.0 that worked fine, when onboard sound is disabled and only that usb connected. I just installed 0.4.0 and tested that.

Edit. Seems that few person have problem with that toslink.

I just checked XBMC and if i there change default outputs to usb sound card i got DTS etc. sound working and also i need put yavdr websetup to analog mode and i still get sound on VDR over toslink.

Könnte einer von euch Profis bitte sagen,

A) ob das möglich ist und B) ob es ein "Radeon How to" gibt. Ich habe zwar viel gelesen aber wenig Stichhaltiges (zumindest für mich) gefunden. Bitte um Antworten hier:
yaVDR oder ??? auf Laptop mit AMD/Radeon GPU zur Wiedergabe/Aufnahme von DVB-Streams eines Reel Netceivers

Evtl. mit viel Eigenarbeit, yaVDR unterstützt hier nur VDPAU mit Nvidia Karten.

Ich finde es immer interessant, dass erst nach Entscheidung für bestimmte Hardware darüber nachgedacht wird, ob sie auch das kann, was mann von ihr möchte...

Wenn ihr den verlinkten thread gelsen habt .. wisst ihr, dass ich weis, dass ihr frühestens ab der 0.5 Radeons unterstüzen möchtet und JA, da wir und unser Mädel (so wie viele Andereauch) Win7/MS-Office User sind, haben wir den Schleppi nicht nach (ya)VDR Gesichtspunkten ausgewählt. Für uns ist das ein möglicher Zusatznutzen ...

Nachdem ich hier viele Threads gelesen habe, verstehe ich manche Frustration und Antwort natürlich. Es wäre schön trotzdem Unterstützung zu bekommen...

Also bevor da Gerüchte aufkommen, auf die Unterstützung in 0.5 würde ich trotzdem besser nicht unbedingt warten. Diese Unterstützung kommt wenn sie soweit brauchbar ist, das wir es verantworten können das diese Ausgabe auch von unserer relevanten Zielgruppe installiert und genutzt werden kann. Ausserdem muß das Team in der Lage sein, in seiner Freizeit die auftretenden Probleme bearbeiten zu können ...

Offen gesagt sehe selbst ich als alter eingefleischter ATI/AMD Fan, das das noch weit entfernt ist. Daher hier die dringende Empfehlung, kaufe und nutze an Deinen Wissensstand angepasste Hardware.
