Kann man den aktuellen XBMC unified-pvr branch schon benutzen ?

HW HD-VDR-1 : Foxconn H67S MiniITX, Intel G620T, 1x 80GB Intel Postvile X25 SSD, anysee E7 PS2 CI DVB-S2 intern, Gehäuse JCP MI 101, 2 GB DDR3 Ram.
HW HD-VDR-2 : Zotac H61 MiniITX , Intel G440, 1x 320GB HDD, TeVII 470, Gehäuse Silverstone Sugo SG05, 4 GB DDR3 Ram.
SW HD-VDR : archlinux 64bit mit archvdr Paketen ( http://archvdr.sf.net ) und VAAPI. Kernel 3.1.x, Rest bleeding edge

Verstehe ich das richtig das der univied-pvr branch nur die Infrastruktur aber nicht den Client bietet und der Client selber auf der Googlecode Seite liegt ?

Muss der vdr und das streamdev plugin noch gepatched werden ?

RE: XBMC aktueller stand unified-pvr branch

Hallo ebsi,

leider läüft der unified-pvr branch noch nicht. Wir grübeln derzeit an einem stabilen Interface für PVR Client <-> XBMC. Das erweist sich als schwierig da von der Client Seite "C" oder "C++" unterstützt werden soll und wir keine C++ Klassen übergeben können. Alcoheca baut gerade an einer Hilfs Bibliothek für Speicherwaltung zum Datenaustausch.

Das der VDR Klient nicht im XBMC code liegt hat den Grund, damit Benutzer auch ohne XBMC SVN rechte an einem Klient programmieren können und ähnlich wie bei VDR Plugins auf ihrer Homepage haben können. Nötig zur Klient programmierung sind nur ein paar Header aus dem XBMC aber nicht der ganze code.

Mit den Patches für VDR und Streamdev, hab ich folgenden Plan. Für VDR ab Version 1.7.5 wird kein Patch mehr gebraucht davor nur ein kleiner optionaler. Für streamdev bin ich noch am grübeln, eventuell wenn die neuen Befehle stabil laufen den Entwickler zu bitten diese zu übernehmen. Der Traum wäre natürlich "svdrp" würde mehrere Verbindungen zur gleichen Zeit erlauben.

Aber wie schon im SVN zu lesen ist, gebe ich bekannt wenn der branch läuft.

Hallo Alwin,

jetzt ist ja seit deinem letzten Statement fast ein Monat rum und ich sehe im SVN Log jede Menge neuer Revisions. Es würde mich freuen, wenn du hier noch mal ein kurzes Statement abgeben könntest, wie weit ihr jetzt seit (ca. % Angabe) und wie lange es wohl noch dauern wird (Wochen, Monate?). Ich möchte keinen Druck aufbauen, sondern nur ein Gefühl bekommen ob ich es noch abwarten kann.

Hallo Leute,

habe einen neuen Branch unter "pvr-testing" erstellt, da sich der unified-pvr branch noch ein wenig (Zeit unbestimmt) hinziehen wird. Der neue Branch beinhaltet meinen letzten Patch ohne irgendwelche Bugfixes.
Werde diesen Branch up to date halten, solange der unified-pvr noch kein TV schauen erlaubt und neue Features darin ausprobieren.

Hiermit herunterladen:

Auf der VDR oder streamdev Seite ändert sich nichts.

Sehr cool! Heißt das, dass wenn man diesen Branch verwendet, der XBMC mti VDR Patch mit einer sehr aktuellen XBMC SVN Version läuft? Oder hat man dann immer noch die "alte" 19955?

danke Pingpong für deine Arbeit.

Wäre es möglich, dass du aus diesem Branch auch diese Goom-Zeugs rauspatchst, da dies bei mir bei meinem letzten versuchen immer zu einem Abbruch des Kompilierens geführt hat.

Ich finde es super, wenn man alles über SVN macht, das müsste pinpong stark entlasten, weil er keine monolitischen Patches mehr geben bereitstellen muss. Schade finde ich aber, dass man im XBMC-Trac keine Tickets für experimentelle Branches öffnen darf (habe ich schonmal für unified-pvr gemacht und bin dahingehend belehrt worden). Das heißt, wir dürfen können wohl Bugbeschreibungen nicht im XBMC-Trac ablegen, sondern müssen Bugbeschreibungen wohl im Forum weiterpflegen, was eigentlich eher Nachteile hat: Es fängt schon mit der Sprache an: Im XBMC-Forum reden alle englisch, hier reden alle deutsch.

@pingpong: Ist das so? Könnte man das evtl. ändern?
