Was kann man aus ner alten Zbox "zaubern"

    Hi !


    Ich baue grad bei einem Bekannten was um und da bleibt ne etwas aeltere Zbox ueber.
    Ist afaik eine mit Atom un ION chipsatz.
    Was kann man da VDR technisch noch dras machen ?
    Der Bekannte hat nen TRIAX SAT IP Dingens ...
    Ich dache to an XBMC (weil mediaplayertechnis ist er recht schlecht bestueckt) und dann evtl. die TV Sender per VDR "einschleifen" oder ist der ION dazu zu schwach ?

    Ion ertse oder zweite Gen.? Mit eigenem VRam?
    Prinzipiell sollte es für einen Client reichen. Bei 1080i dann halt ohne HQ Scaling und mit bob oder temporal als deinterlacer.

    Iche denke mal der ist noch nicht so "HD-Geil" wie unsereiner.... der ist schon zufrieden wenn SD gut laeuft und von der Quali super ist....

    Die GT218 hat PureVideo V4 und somit mehr als ne Atom 330/ION Kombi, die haben "nur" V3

    Das wäre dann ein ION 2. Generation. Hat mein sapphire edge-hd auch samt 512MB DDR3 VRam. Damit geht theoretisch temporal_spatial als deinterlacer bei 1080i, wobei ich aber zwecks geringerer Temperatur nur temporal nutze. Ansonsten macht das Teil als Client mit xbmc und vdr+softhddevice eine gute Figur.
    Wenn es in ertser linie um SD geht, dann wirst du mit hq-scaling + denoise&sharpness sehr gute Ergebnisse erzielen können.

    Ich denke mal das HD/SD "problem" ist zweitrangig....
    das groesste ist eigentlich das SAT/IP

    Das einzige was ich so auf die schnelle gefunden habe ist xbmc + tvheadend.....

    Nunja... ich hab hier bisher nur wenig darueber gelesen und was ich gelesen hab war nicht gerade positiv..
    Ich muss ja auch drauf achten => der typ ist ein DAU.... ich will mir da keine Vollzeit Nebenbeschaeftigung einhandeln....
