problem compiling reelbox+vdr 1.7.0

    i have try do use my new ehd bur i stop here


    i have opensuse and folow the wiki vdr for opensuse and ehd but tryng to compile the plugin reelbox to use ehd stop whit this error

    Hi scubidoo,


    I'm not sure what your problem is.
    When you are starting VDR do you see anything on your eHD?
    Before starting VDR you should a see a hardcode image, when the eHD was successfully started?
    Could you connect via telnet to your eHD?
    When you start your VDR you shouldn't use xineliboutput. The eHD must also be set as your Primary Device...

    i have install reelbox plugin


    but i have read i have to have reel-ehd instaled also and i can complie him


    i enter via telnet on de ehd and can ping it

    please try to start your vdr _only_ with the reelbox plugin.
    Before that edit your /etc/vdr/setup.conf - set the PrimaryDevice to count of your dvb device + 1.
    If you have one dvb device, set to 2 and so on...


    It could be helpfull, when you post some log messages :)

    i have tested on my hd tv and on a monitor whit dvi input an a cable hdmi to dvi and the problem is



    i start de pc and see on tv reelbox hd screen



    start vdr and says out of range



    go to s-video and only see lines

    Dear scubidoo,


    please check your vdr setup.conf Parameter "Primary_DVB" as suggested by CR7. The value depends on how many DVB cards you have in your system. If you're not sure please try values from 1 till 5.


    Can you disable the xineliboutput Plugin? It is not needed for the eHD functionionality in general. Xine is only needed if you want to use the xinemediaplayer plugin for the eHD.


    Concerning your 25hz problem it might be possible that the eHD wants to use HDMI mode but your monitor only supports DVI. In the vdr setup.conf there is a parameter for the reelbox plugin that determines if the output is HDMI or DVI. If you set the parameter manually before you start your VDR it might work. I think it is the following parameter:

    Code
    reelbox.HDDM = 1

    Value 1 stands for HDMI. I don't know which value is for DVI. I might guess it's either 0 or 2.

    the ehd itself starts by loading the linux.bin, after thist the ping and telnet to the card will work (thats what is definatly workng in your enviroment)
    then the hdplayer is loaded by tftp, so a tftp server will have to run on your system and in the directory you defined as root for your tftp server you should have a directory hdplayer and in in it the decompresed hdplayer.gz from the svn, named hdplayer


    the ehd card starts in mode 576i by default and is then swithed to the used resolution by the vdr plugin
    imho there ist (at the moment) no real difference between hdmi und dvi because hdcp is not used/implemented


    may be it´s easyer when you only have the ehd and a budget card in your system, the vdr will automaticly use the ehd as primary device (no changes in setup.conf)
    in older svn´s there was a problem when no proper entrys for the rellbox plugin where in the setup.conf, you can try to put them in manualy bevor vdr starts (can be found with the search funktion here in the board)
