but I get the same grey screen, looks like this is a bug with the driver I guess I need a newer

...which modul Version do you use?
-> Dxr3config Version tells you which Version you are using.
In my opinion all modules > 0.15.3 are ok.

P.S. How can you deside, that the output is realy NTSC if you your screen stays grey ??? Or is just your channel setup not configured and you can see the OSD ??

the driver is very new (em8300 0.16).
If it is black/white, check if the TV is set to Y/C instead of composite/FBAS
I keep clicking the wrong button it's in German and I have no clue what it means,
I changed the language to english in my profile but the images are still in German..!
I installed Fedora Core 5 and I get teh same problem I just realize that the DXR# svideo 4-pin cable is connected to a svideo to cable (catv/coax) converter. This works with my Nvidea video out card just fine. I'll move my system closer to the tv and give tha a try

Just click the little flags () in the upper left menu, near "Portal". This switches the portal language between german and english.
