Is das VFD ned aus dem Standard-Kit für Dign (mit FB pipapo)? Das verwenden auch andere Gehäuse inzwischen.
Wenn dem so ist, sollte man einen Händler finden können.

Die Gehäuse sind in D vielfach lieferbar.

Worauf ich dich hinweisen wollte, dass das IR/VFD-Kit aus den Digns eigentlich ein IMon sein müsste. Das wird auch von anderen Herstellern inzwischen verwendet - auch ein single-Kit gibt es. Vielleich besorgst du dir das VFD darüber - wenn es passt.

Diplay mit USB geht. Leider mit viel Handwork und bei mir noch nicht 100%. Irgendwie zeigt es nicht alles an.

Ein Bekannter von mir hat sich gerade ein Dign gekauft, könntest Du mir vielleicht sagen, wie du dein Display zum Rennen gebracht hast?

Als erstes, welches display. Ich weiß jetzt gerade (sitze in der Arbeit) nicht welche es gibt aber bin mir sicher dass es mind. 2 verschiedene sind. Am besten mal aufschrauben und schauen was aud der platine steht.

Aber im algemeinem musste ich lcdproc die neuste version (cvs) nehmen und auch den neusten lirc treiber (weiß jetzt nicht mehr 100% ob ich da was patchen musste).

Ein Typ hat den lcdproc trieber entwickelt und dieser wurde mit in die lcdproc sourcen aufgenommen, bei lirc weiss ich jetzt nicht mehr. (kann man auch finden wenn man die lcdproc sourcen durchwühlt)

Update: LCDProc: Dign HV5/Ahanix D.Vine 5 Driver
Hi,

I finally managed to create a diff for lcdproc-0.4.5.tar.gz. You can download it here.

Installation

* Download the tarball from LCDProc. Make sure to get the right version 0.4.5!
* untar
* change into the directory "lcdproc-0.4.5"
* type "patch -p0 < lcdproc.diff" (change path to where you stored the diff)
* type "aclocal"
* type "autoheader"
* type "automake --add-missing"
* type "autoconf"
* type "./configure --enable-drivers=sasem"
* type "make"
* type "make install"
* create a device for the USB device. Type "mknod -m 700 /dev/usb/lcd c 180 144"
* check LCDd.conf and look for the
[sasem] section. It should point to /dev/usb/lcd. Leave it or change it to wherever you created the device
* make sure that sasem is the selected device in LCDd.conf
* copy LCDd.conf to the right place (/etc on Debian; check the LCDProc page for more info)

Done!

Start LCDd to have LCDProc send data to your VFD

BTW: TO have mythTV use the VFD you have to enable LCDProc support in "settings.pro" before compiling (similar to enabling LIRC). Check the settings.pro file in the mythTV directory and recompile. Start the LCDProc daemon before mythfrontend to have mythTV use the VFD

LCDProc: Dign HV5/Ahanix D.Vine 5 Driver
Hi,

today I wanted to release a diff for LCDProc as well to provide support for the VFD. The driver is ready and running fine (I hope) but I can not create a diff because I do not have the slightest idea atm how to actually include the driver with automake properly.
I submitted the driver to the LCDProc maintainer and hope that he will include it in CVS so keep your fingers crossed.
On the other hand, if you know how to include a driver in the LCDProc make, please do drop me a mail: <oliver.stabel at gmx.de>

LIRC: Dign HV5/Ahanix D.Vine 5 Driver
Hi,

as of LIRC 0.7.0pre6, there is a device driver for the Sasem OnAir Remocon as used by the Dign HV5/Ahanix D.Vine 5 HTPC cases. The device is connected via USB and provides both access to IR and VFD.
The drivcer in LIRC 0.7.0pre6 was only reading the IR. In order to use the device with LCDProc to control the VFD, you need to update the driver with this diff file.

Note
The driver should be updated at some stage with the official LIRC distribution. As the whole driver is still being worked on, I though it might be a better idea to provide updated versions via diff file distribution before submitting changes.

Installation

* Download a LIRC CVS snapshot (make sure do download a version > 0.7.0pre6!)
* Untar the snapshot
* Download the diff file and save it in the LIRC directory you just untared (e.g. save it into ./lirc-0.7.0pre6)
* Apply the patch: "patch -p0 < sasem.diff"
* Follow the instructions to build the LIRC source (make sure to select the Sasem USB device in setup)
* copy the remote config from ./remotes/sasem/lircd.conf.dignhv5 to the appropriate directory (check the documentation for LIRC where to copy the file; e.g. for Debian you have to copy it to /etc/ and rename it to lircd.conf)
* modify your modules.conf to load the module on startup (see LIRC docu)
* start the lirc daemon on startup (see LIRC docu)

Note
The device driver currently uses the device number 180,144 which is also used by USBLCD. I have to check whether this should be changed.
