With the command you use your client connect with the user your locally logged in with.
The command to use is:
Where the user must exist on the server. Normally the user you've created during installation.
Remember: In Ubuntu, the user root is disabled for login by default.

To connect via ssh, use the user and password you entered during the installation.
If you are logged in with this user you can do a sudo bash.If you are root you can set the password for root with passwd, but the password for root is not set by default, to avoid that someone can misuse this account.
