ZitatAlles anzeigenBy default, the driver enables overscan compensation (black borders). This is useful when you want to display a computer desktop or a game which contains details close to the borders of the screen, but for movies and television broadcasts the best picture quality is obtained when the full TV frame (overscanned) matches the 720x576 PAL video resolution. The only way to turn off overscan compensation in the intel driver seems to be by using the program xrandr, like this:
xrandr --output TV --set BOTTOM 0 --set RIGHT 0 --set TOP 0 --set LEFT 0
The default setting can be restored by:
xrandr --output TV --set BOTTOM 37 --set RIGHT 46 --set TOP 36 --set LEFT 54
This feature requires xorg 7.3 or later, which is included in Slackware 12.1.
