How to Map EPG Data from DVB tuners to IPTV channels

  • Sir,

I am using yavdr 0.5 alpha distribution and i am very happy with it

    There is one question
How can I map my EPG data available on DVB tuners to IPTV channels

Suppose I have one entry of channel DVB
    COLORS;DISH TV:12729:VC56M2S0:S95.0E:27500:2010=2:2011=eng@4:0:B00:33062:1:1300:0

This same channel is available on IPTV also
    Colors;undefined:800:S=0|P=0|F=UDP|U=226.0.0.12|A=5000:I:0:42=27:45=@3:0:0:1:0:0:0

SO how can I map epg data from satellite channels to same IPTV channels? since I dont have epg data on IPTV channels.

Earlier i was using xmltv2vdr script add EPG to IPTV channels

    Thanks in advance

One thing came back to my mind, source and target channel have to have exactly the same name and the name is case sensitive.

    Good luck.

  • Thanks all for very quick reply.
    I have used vdr-plugin-epgsync
    its working perfectly ok.
Just I had to change few channel names. Its good have same channel names since channel logos will work for both

Channels names considered by epgsync are not case sensitive. And I have checked that.

Hmm, last time I used it, I had an issue with this topic, but ok, the better it is ... ^^
