remote control problem

    Hi,


    I have an odd problem that when I press a remote control button it either does not respond or it responds twice, so when I press numbr 1, it makes it number 11 and all numbers are like that. When I press down it goes two channels down instead of only one. This problem was not happening to me before and this is the same lircd.conf and remote.conf I was using . And It is completely random meaning that a button which works now it might not work after a reboot and vice versa. Any idea what might be causing this?


    EDIT: This problem happens to me on xbuntu using yavdr ppa, but in yavdr the remote works fine. Here is part of the log:

    When I run sudo service lirc start, now the remote works fine. It seems that previously there was something else responding to the remote presses. How I can make lirc my default remote control server?
