Hallo,

da ich immer DVB-S verwendet habe, ist mein Wissen über DCB-C gleich null.

Für einen VDR für DVB-C welche Karte sollte man da verwenden?
Anforderung sie sollte stabil laufen.

Für jede Antwort bin ich dankbar.

Hintergrund innerhalb der Famile besteht intresse an einem VDR aber nur mit DVB-C.

Hallo,

ich lese schon einige zeit mit und möchte meine Erfahrungen darstellen.

1. Wie schon dargestellt ist eine "Standartinstallation" d.h. nur vdr mit wenigen plugin asolut kein problem, lauft immer, unabhaängig ob eine FF oder Budget karte eingesetzt wird.
2. Auch das aufspielen mit erhalt der alten Videodaten ist kein Problem siehe hier ein Beitrag vom Mai diese Jahres.
2. Es gibt einge Plugins die immer handarbeit erfordern und zwar deshalb weil sie nicht optimal an vdr c't angepasst sind, meistens sind das kleinigkeiten aber die verhindern das dieses plugin nach einem apt-get install läuft.
Das läst sich auch immer wieder an identischen Threads sehen.

Die Frage ist ob sich das verbessern läst.
ich möcht hier Ausdrücklich die ausgezeichnet Arbeit von Tobi und TomG loben, ohne den Einsatz von diesen beiden würde es noch schlimmer aussehen.

Ich habe auf meinem Testsystem schon alle moglichen test durchgeführt mit FF und oder Budget und die c't vdr ist immer der Ausgangspunkt davon gewesen.

habe folgendes Prolem das Erstellen der DVD (burn 0.1.0~pre21-3)bricht mit folgender Fehlermeldung ab.

Habe auch schon genindex darüber laufen lassen ohne Erfolg.
Hat jemand einen Tipp wie ich das Problem in den griff bekomme.

unter Windows wird HD von der neuen Version von Magix unterstützt, was sehr gut funktioniert ist Main Actor 5.5 das gibt es auch für Linux.
Eine andere Frage kannst Du den Cannel.conf Eintrag für Arte HD einmal posten.

Ich werde die Mssungen mit Kanotix RC2 nochmals machen, muss da etwas besonderes einstellen oder geht das out of the box, mit dem Livesystem?

ist ein guter Vorschlag, wenn Du Deinen Schwager treffen willst.
Alternative, wenn Du Webspace hast, kann ich es aufnehmen und Dir runterladen. Bei den Messungen kommen, wenn man es von der Festplatte laufen läst, identische Werte raus.

ich habe eine bitte, kannst Du die CPU Auslastung mit dem Board und der Hardwareunterstützung von Xine bei HDTV messen.
Es gibt zwei Promos die in Mpeg2 senden
anbei meine Channel.conf Einträge.

Werte sind mit TOP ermittelt.

Was mir besondest gefällt ist die hohe integartion des Boards, wie Du ja auch schon angeführt hast.

Eine Frage dazu: Wie weit schätzt Du die HDTV Fähigkeit des bordes ein, natürlich vorausgesetztdas es eine DVB-S2 Karte mit Linux treibern gibt.
Unterstützt die Grafik Mpeg4...
Gibt es da native Unterstützung (Linux) von Nvidia..

das kann ich auch nur unterstreichen, habe leider ähnliche Erfahrungen gemacht, wie von linuxmik2 beschrieben.
Ist eigentlich schade um die viele Arbeit die reingesteckt wurde.

zu Ubuntu/kubuntu/xbuntu kann ich die Aussage von wicky nur bekräftigen.
Um vdr zu laufen zu bringen muss du etweder alles selbst compilieren oder wenn Du Tobis benutzen willst musst Du das system ganz schön umbauen.

Hallo

um den Xserver mit der bestmöglichen Performance laufen zu lassen sollten immer die Typischen garfikteriber benutzt werden.
VESA ist immer der schelchtste Kompromiss.

Mir dem Aufruf
dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86
kann man das alles neu einstellen Driver, keybord usw.
Ich selbst habe nur Erfahrung mit Nvida karten im xserver ist diese nv oder man kann die bineries von der Nevidia Seite installieren.
Als Biespiel habe ich mein Auslastung angehängt gesamt CPU Auslastung bei 17,7 % (AMD 3000+)

wenn etwas nicht geht z.B. apt-get dann schau doch selbst nach info immer mit --help bei allen debian Befehlen.

Hallo,
anbei eine Datei die unter Kanotix also mit dem xserver von xorg funktioniert und unter dem XF86free server läuft bei mir unter Debian Sarge ct5.
Beide Dateien gehören nach /etc/X11
Das einzige was ensprechend ausgetauscht werden muss sind die spezifischen Teile.
Das lauft bei mir mit einem Monitor 17" und ein 19 " Zoll TFT 1440x900 Auflösung.

Nachtrag: ich verwende den binären Nevidia Treiber sieht man am Eintarg Nevidia statt nv.

Andere Frage welche Version von vdr und ct fährst Du?
Ist das noch wie Du geschrieben hast c't-vdr 5 (1.3.49).

Wenn das so ist must Du auf 1.4.2-1ctvdr2 updaten damit alles auf den neusten stand kommt.

Test System: Debian c't 5 VDR 1.4 AMD Athlon XP 3000+ 80 GB HD 1x Budget Skystar 2.
My Graka is a Nvidia 5200 128MB Memory.
I have installd XF86free-server and xfce4 windowmanger.
It is all normanly.
