    U don't need to quote this entry with big font - I did it (apt-get update) before distro upgrade

  • New DVB-T tunner and channels.conf issue

    Hi,


    Recently i've bought msi dvb-t tunner to watch those channels on my yavdr instalaltion.
    As this tunner is supported by the kernel i had no problems with performing a scan.
    But i think there is some issues with data format. I'm using w_scan:

    When I paste it to empty channels.conf file there are no channels in xmbc interface and webfrontend.
    I've checked credidentials to file and they are the same as in "old" channels.conf file.


    What I'm doing wrong?

  • Multiple tv sets and one YAVDR

    Hi,


    One of my customers asked me to prepare for him multimedia center.


    And my idea is to install yavdr on "server" + the same installation on ion settops.


    To the server there will be connected 4-5 usb tunners (to handle all requests from clients) and dvb-s cables.


    All clients will be connected only via ethernet to server.


    Will this work on yavdr?


    What do you think about s2-7500 tunners?


    What type of processor/mainboard will handle 5x hd streams (but no decoding, only sending to lan).

  • No sound :(

    Hi,


    Today evening i've turned on my htpc (yavdr 3) and .... there is no sound and ... no errors.


    I've tried on hdmi and toslink - no resoults.


    Nothing was changed in settings.


    Rebooting and changing settings (toslink>hdmi, hdmi>toslink) is not giving any resoults.


    Please help.

  • Issues with MKV, TS and HD tv streams

    Hi,


    Since some time i have problems with hd streams (both from "air" and hdd).


    The issue is with starting to "play" stream - when movie is played from "fies" only box with play from begining, from last position is shown and that's it.


    System is "playing" movie (cpu is going higher) but no picture.


    No configuration changes where made (from first installation all was ok). Only updates.


    PC is asus mainboard with ion and atom.

  • Toslink after crash

    Hi,


    Sometimes XBMC is crashing during tv/video watching and vdr is beeing to start.


    After last time and rebooting to xbmc toslink sound was not working (no settings where changed). And for some time i was not able to set it again (i had to use hdmi sount in my tv).
    Few moments ago XBMC chrashed again and vdr started with working toslink.


    WTF?:)

  • [0.3] Filed upgrade

    Hi,


    Yesterday i'v been trying to upgrade yavdr (hd channels and hd movies stopped to work after last upgrade).


    Upgrade is stopping on:


    Setting up rsyslog (4.2.0-2ubuntu8.1) ...


    Also i have problems with sound - filed to initialize audio device


    Applying: dpkg-reconfigure alsa-dkms ends with:
    Package `alsa-dkms' is not installed and no info is available.


    Can you help ?
