Im running 0.3 on an Acer Revo R3610

Everything works fine except one annoying thing in XBMC

XBMC is gettings locked on some keypresses

An example if I am searing for "Bond", when I type "Bond" into the search box

it might lock on "o" and so it will type "Boooooooooooooooooooooond"

It happens on all the keys ie while scanning a menu it will jump miles ahead.

Does anyone else have this problem, or know a fix?

    dpkg-reconfigure alsa-dkms

    fixed it thanks Jarvelin!

charlie0440: It would be better to apt-get remove alsa-dkms and read this if you use a G210/GT220 graphical card. An apt-get autoremove would do the same. When you made apt-get dist-upgrade you was told this already by apt-get. Why you ignore this?

I did read that before posting - I did not know that the Revo used a G210/GT220.

I am not aware of any warning after hitting apt-get dist-upgrade. The upgrade took 20mins and I was not sat in front of it so I may of missed it.

    I did a apt-get update & sudo apt-get dist-upgrade to yavdr0.3

now I have no sound! aplay -l gives me:
    aplay: device_list:223: no soundcards found...

    sudo alsamixer:
cannot open mixer: No such file or directory

Web GUI -> Sound > HDMI passthrough

Also mit Xen geht auch das Durchreichen von DVB-Karten (mit PV Guest sogar mit alter Hardware, also komplett ohne VT und VT-d)... Getestet mit einer Skystar2 und einer TT3200

    This is good news!

    Sorry for the English.
Can any one post hardware they have working with XEN VT-d

Just had to start from scratch with yavdr so thought i would upload how i did it for anybody stuck (1st time around it took me hours to figure out!):

    Hardware used:
    Acer Revo r3610
    tevii s660
    ---------------------------

    INSTALL YAVDR
Install yavdr 0.2 including liplianin (dont know if s2-liplianin is required)
its hangs a lot during installation but finally finishes! (especially on finishing installation @ 27%)

then ssh into the yavdr box from another pc and update:

    UPDATE YAVDR
    1) To obtain the list of available updates:
    sudo apt-get update
    2) To install available package updates:
    sudo apt-get upgrade
    3) To install package updates that were kept back:
    Either sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
    4) Reboot
    sudo reboot

check whether tevii driver is detected: dmesg |grep dvb

chances are it will say looking for a driver ..... (note this driver file name)

    INSTALL TEVII DRIVER
    1) Download drivers (check this is the latest)
    wget http://tevii.com/100315_Beta_linux_tevii_ds3000.rar
    2) install nano
    sudo apt-get install nano
    3) install unrar
    sudo apt-get install unrar
    4) Extract drivers
    unrar e 100315_Beta_linux_tevii_ds3000.rar
    4) open the Readme
    sudo nano README
    5) Follow the Readme instructions:
    sudo cp *.fw /lib/firmware
    sudo tar xjvf linux-tevii-ds3000.tar.bz2
    cd linux-tevii-ds3000
    sudo make
    sudo make install
    6) Backup the driver
    sudo cp dvb-usb-teviis660.fw dvb-usb-teviis660backup.fw
    7) Rename the driver to match the one dmesg is looking for
    sudo mv dvb-usb-teviis660.fw dvb-usb-s660.fw
    8) Reboot
    sudo reboot
    9) dmesg |grep dvb
should say usb successfully initalized and connected

    Download channels.conf from here:
    http://www.vdr-settings.com/download/channels/
or scan for your own (tevii takes AGES)

Paste into VDR Config Upload (on the Yavdr webGUI eg 192.168.0.2 or whatever your Ip address is)

    RESTART THE VDR FRONTEND
WegGui > System > System > Restart VDR backend

    Change sound settings:
GUI > System > Sound > select relevent one

    Change resolution:
GUI > System > Display > select relevent one

If after a reboot the channels are showing (after a short period) and you find a restart of the VDR backend fixes this, there is another fix:

Put a "sleep x" line into /etc/init/vdr.conf right after the line "script". Instead of the x, provide a number (=number of seconds to delay VDR start). Experiment which delay suits your setup.

Seem to of got a channel to display in VNSI but its REALLY laggy, anyone have any ideas? Playback is perfect in VDR

    Thanks Hepi, worked a treat!

Now I am left with only one problem. using the xineliboutput frontend I am able to watch all channels. But I cannot watch them via XBMC.

I have tried the XBMC frontend and also launching it from applications in xineliboutput. It shows the waiting symbol and them outputs a black screen and then back to the backdrop.

I know streamdev is set up correctly as I can watch the channels on another PC in the house over the LAN in XBMC via streamdev. It is the PC my tevii is connected to which will not show them in XBMC.

XBMC log file below - taken when trying on xine@vdr-plugin-xine frontend

    Hi all,

First thanks for this awesome program! It took me AGES to get it working with my tevii s660 but finally figured it out.

The one thing which took me the longest to figure out is that. On booting my machine (revo r3610) I have to log onto the webGUI and click restart Vdr for the channels to be recieved! Ohterwise they show as "NO SIGNAL" (channel not available)

Am i missing something? is there a way to have vdr perform a restart during boot?

Also has anyone got the tevii remote working properly?

    uname -r
    2.6.33.22

not sure how to list the packages i have installed - if its required
