Hallo Leute,
ich plane meinen bisherigen VDR / HTPC (AMD X2 235e + M3N78-VM) zu ersetzten. Die jetzige Lösung verbraucht derzeit zu viel Strom.
Der neue VDR soll neben Live-TV + Aufnahme (auch Sky) auch als Home/Mediaserver dienen.
Als Softwarelösung soll wahrscheinlich weiterhin yaVDR zum Einsatz kommen.
Derzeit steht Intel (Haswell) oder AMD (Kabini oder Trinity) mit den jeweils internen Grafikkernen zur Auswahl.
Laut Recherchen sind beide Architekturen im Stromverbrauch ziemlich gleich auf. Jetzt stellt sich mir die Frage wie, es mit der VPDAU / VA-API Unterstützung bei den internen Grafikkernen der Prozessoren aussieht. Ist die Unterstützung hier mittlerweile genauso gut wie bei Nvidia? Ich habe hierzu auch schon im Internet recherchiert, jedoch keine Eindeutige Antwort erhalten.
Es wäre super wenn mir jemand eine Antwort gegeben konnte.

Nein das habe ich nicht explizit gemacht. Eigentlich dachte ich, dass es mit xbmc und VAAPI auch so geht
Kann das jetzt aber auch nicht mehr machen. Das board auf dem ich das system installiert habe,
startet nicht mehr.

Ich dachte aber, das jetzt VAAPI greift, ist auch bei mir in XBMC unter den Videoeinstellung eingerichtet.
Was muss ich sonst noch in XBMC einstellen, damit VAAPI funktioniert.

Hi,
das deinstallieren der Nvidia-Treiber hat es gebracht. Xbmc startet nun.
Jedoch werden alle Filme auf der Platte nur noch stockend abgespielt.
Muss jetzt mal schauen, woran das liegt.

Ich werde mal heute Abend die nVidia-Sachen deinstallieren und schauen ob dann läuft.
Die Anleitung von det hab ich schon ausprobiert. Hat bei mir irgendwie nicht so richtig funktioniert und mir ein komplettes Ubuntu installiert

Bin sehr begeistert von yavdr und auf einem x235e mit Geforce 8200 läuft es super.

ich habe mal testweise auf einem Intelsystem mit einem H61-Board und einem i3-2100t yavdr 0.5.0 installiert.
Nach der Installation habe ich zunächst einen schwarzen Bildschirm nur mit einem weißen Mauszeiger gesehen.
Nach der Umstellung des Frontends im Webinterface auf vdr-sxfe@vdr-plugin-xineliboutput startete VDR.
Ich bekomme aber XBMC nicht zum starten.
Wenn ich es über die Kommandozeile versuche, XBMC zu starten, bekomme ich folgende Meldung:

Hat jemand eine Idee, warum xbmc nicht starten will?

Wie muss ich yavdr einstellen, damit ich Xv, XvMV oder OpenGL nutzen will.
Wenn ich normale mkv/avi Dateien abspielen will, muss ich diese ja auch z.B. über VA-API oder VDPAU dekodieren, oder?
Wie ist eigentlich wenn ich die Filme über mit Hilfen von Twonky auf den Fernseher streamen will. Da übernimmt der Fernseher das dekodieren, oder?

Hallo Leute,
Ich bin am Überlegen ob ich mein x2 235e in den Ruhestand schicken soll und mir ein Board 1155 für meinen vorhanden i3-2100t holen soll. Derzeit hab ich ein ASUS M3N68-VM mit einer Geforce 8200. VPDAU und yavdr für die TV-Aufzeichnung läuft super drauf: Jedoch saugt das System momentan mit 1,5 TByte ca. 60 Watt und ich erhoffe mir vom i3 eine geringere Leistungsaufnahme.
Ich frage mich jetzt, bevor ich umsteige, ob mit dem i3 und yavdr 0.5 die TV-Aufzeichnung mit VA-API auch gut funktioniert. Der Große VA-API Threat hier im Forum ist schon etwas älter wie ein Jahr.
Die Frage für mich ist jetzt, lohnt sich ein umstieg?

Hi,
bin gerade auf der Arbeit und kann die Fehlermeldung von irrecord gerade nicht posten aber er konnte glaub ich das lirc-Device nicht finden.
Irw kann ich zwar starte und es wartet auf eingaben. Doch wenn ich Tasten auf der Fernbedienung drücke dann werden die nicht erkannt.
Es passiert nichts.
Kann es daran liegen, dass ich einen USB IR Reciever habe und das irw auf der falschen Schnittstelle lauscht?
Hab auch " irw /dev/lircd" ausprobiert. Aber das bringt auch nichts.
(Wie kann ich eigentlich irw wieder beenden, damit er nicht die ganze zeit auf Signale wartet?)

Hi leute,
ich habe mir gestern yavdr 0.3 auf meinem HTPC installiert. Habe soweit alles eingerichtet und meine Technotrend C1501 wurde super erkannt und funktioniert auch super.
Aber ein Problem habe ich, die Fernbedienung. ich habe den Empfänger über das Webfrontend ausgewählt und sie funktioniert auch teilweise. Zum Beispiel kann ich das Steuerkreuz nutzen und die Lautstärke verändern. Jedoch gehen die weiteren Tasten, wie der OK-Button, nicht.
Wo und welche Einstellungen muss ich machen, bzw. wie kann ich die Fernbedienung neu anlernen? Hab schon im Internet gesucht aber irgendwie nichts wirklich brauchbares gefunden.
Hab schon versucht mit irw und irrecord Befehle auszulesen bzw. zu schreiben aber das hat nicht funktioniert.
Bin für jeden Tipp und Hinweis dankbar.

wenn das mit der geforce und VDAUP funktioniert ist super.
Welche budget ist dann zu empfehlen für eine VDR?

Also hier bei uns bei uns BW bzw. in Reutlingen sind die privaten Sender nicht Grundverschlüsselt. Meine Freundin hat einen Samsung 32" LCD Display. Wollte den Media-Center PC über HDMI anschliesen.
Hmm.. hätte nicht gedacht das die Full-featured so ein problem darstellen.
Wenn ich mir eine Budget Karte holle, kann ich dann den Decoder der Geforce 8200 benutzen, damit die CPU nicht unter Volllast arbeiten muss??

bin neu hier in diesem Forum und hoffe ihr könnt mir helfen. Ich plane, für meine Freundin einen Video-Disk-Recorder und Media-Pc zu bauen.
Jetzt weis ich aber nicht welche TV-Karte ich kaufen soll, die unter Linux vollständig unterstützt wird.
Die restliche Hardware in Form eines ASUS-Board's mit Geforce 8200 Chip und einem AMD Athlon II X2 235e Prozessor hab ich schon.
Da wir hier in BW sind und Kabel haben brauch ich eine dvb-c Karte, ich hoffe ihr könnte mir eine gute nennen.
