Why is it always like this.
Many hours of testing and no success. Creating a post in the forum and 10 minutes afterwards I find the solution.
In my case it was that PrimaryDevice in setup.conf needed to be set to 2 instead of 1.
The reason why I got a picture on xinelibout but no OSD was probably due to the fact that I of some reason used --primary as input parameter.
I think everything works now, sorry for the posting.

I have recently reinstalled my VDR computer.
Since composite-out on my FF card is broken, I am trying to use vdr-sxfe instead.
I have done the setup and got VDR running, and I also have a picture in vdr-sxfe UI.
VDR says in its logfile that key binding must be done and that it goes into that mode.
However, I do not see that OSD for key learning in vdr-sxfe UI.
I guess it could be 2 issues here;
* VDR fails go into key learning mode.
or
* OSD is not shown in vdr-sxfe UI at all.
I suspec that latter, but I can't really verify it.
Anyone that has a way forward on this issue?
Could it be that there is a problem due to my FF cards?
I am currently running Gentoo and using VDR 1.6 from portage.
