Sorry for my english: "You can test that the problem is (xine in yavdr) don't know how to handle EAC3, playing one recording with xine in verbose mode, and look about Audio info."
I wanted to say:
1.- Record a channel with EAC3 sound, as TVE-HD (dvb-t for Spain), or TV3-HD (dvb-t in Catalonia).
2.- Try to play it with a windows PC, and check if you can hear sound. If yes ..
3.- Try to play it with xine (with verbose switch) at yavdr PC.
4.- Look at verbose info of xine, and see this message "audio_decoder: no supplement is available to handle 'E-AC-3'" (translated from spanish, may be not same english words). -
gda, You can test that the problem is xine in yavdr don't know how to handle EAC3 playing one recording with xine in verbose mode and look about Audio info.

The problem is that Xine codecs installed in yavdr is not able to reproduce EAC3. I have the same problem also with TV3 HD channel. Can you hear TV3 HD?

I have compiled and installed last kernel (2.6.35.7) activating DVB drivers modules at make menuconfig and now vdr with FF card is working fine with TS format. I had to install also last lirc to get IR remote working.
Thanks to all

Thanks UFO, I see.
I have ubuntu 9.04 with kernel 2.6.28.
Firmware is ok, I see those lines with dmesg
[ 9.668095] dvb-ttpci: info @ card 3: firm f0240009, rtsl b0250018, vid 71010 068, app 80fb2624
[ 24.124425] dvb-ttpci: info @ card 0: firm f0240009, rtsl b0250018, vid 71010 068, app 80fb2624Therefore I think I have following options:
1.- Update kernel (with ubuntu update or manually)
2.- Reinstall last ubuntu (10.04) shipped with kernel 2.6.32
(I have seen some post saying that this kernel have some bugs !!)
3.- Maybe installing last driver from v4l-dvb. Do you think I can resolve the problem by this way? An step-by-step instructions will be appreciated. -
Sure the problem is the driver, but I don't know what I have to do.
I have check that vdr-1.7.15 can record, to .ts file, and it can be played with mplayer, but not with vdr through nexus card.
I think I had last firmware installed "dvb-ttpci-01-fb2624", but I'm not sure how to check version of driver and how to install last version of driver. (If it's a different thing to firmware. It's a bit messy for me).
Thanks

I have a FF DVB-S (Hauppauge) card and some DVB-T cards. I watch TV from RCA composite out of FF DVB-S card.
All works properly with vdr-1.6.0 but with vdr-1.7.15 (with dvbsddevice plugin) I see DVB-T channels as poor signal were arriving to receiver (pixeling a lot and sound crashes). DVB-S channels and recorded video work properly.
What could be the problem with DVB-T?

I would like to send the second audio of a channel (or of a recording) to the sound card, and hear the first audio through DVB card. Then I will hear first audio at TV set, and second audio with headphones.
Does exist any vdr plugin for this?
Thanks
