    Hmmmm, dachte eigentlich bis jetzt, dass das alles sehr aktuell ist. Ich habe die C'T DVD Version 6 installiert und dann auf die online-Repositories umgestellt und per Adept upgedatet. So alt kann das doch nicht sein, oder? Muss ich da jetzt irgendwelche anderen Quellen in die sources.list eintragen um an die aktuelleren Versionen dran zu kommen?

    sorry, wenn ich bei Dir für Verärgerung gesorgt habe, aber ich habe das nicht als wilde Rumposterei gesehen.
    Der erste Thread von mir bezog sich auf die ATI-Karte, das war wohl wirklich ein Hardware-Problem (bzw. Treiber-Problem), deswegen auch in dem Forum.
    Mittlerweile bin ich ja wieder bei der NVidia-Karte gelandet und eher Software-seitig am kämpfen, wie ich das grad' so einschätze, deswegen dieses Posting hier im C'T-VDR-Forum.
    Ich will hier ganz bestimmt niemanden mit mehrfach-Postings belästigen und recherchiere garantiert ausführlich, bevor ich so Postings schreibe.

    Genau, ich habe nur ein Kabel. Kabel teilen habe ich noch nie versucht, bisher aber immer nur schlechtes darüber gehört (mangelnde Signalqualität und natürlich keine Steuerung des LNB von zwei Geräten aus). Ich hatte die PVR schon unter Windoofs an meinen Receiver so angeschlossen und war mit der Qualität, die über das SCART-Kabel rein kam, sehr zufrieden.

    Ja, zumindest das von der 5er Version des VDR. Das neue kannte ich noch nicht, da steht aber auch nicht sooo viel anderes drin.


    Wie ich sehe, hast Du in Deinem Rechner die WinTV Nova-SE2 am laufen. Kannst Du die empfehlen? Denkst Du, mein Rechner würde damit auch laufen (PentiumIII / 1GHz)?

    Hallo zusammen,
    ich versuche jetzt seit ca. 4 Wochen einen VDR unter Linux zum laufen zu bringen, bin täglich mehrere Stunden dabei und bin am verzweifeln, weil es einfach nicht klappt. Vielleicht kann mir ja hier jemand helfen, sonst muss ich es noch unter Windoofs machen (davon wollte ich eigentlich weg, bin aber nicht bereit, unendlich viel Zeit in das Projekt zu stecken).
    Mein System (derzeit): ASUS CUSL2-C / Pentium III 1GHz / 512MB RAM / Hauppauge PVR 350 / NVidia GeForce 5200 mit TV-Out.
    VDR C'T Version 6 mit Kernel-Updates von vorletzter Woche.


    Wunschkonfiguration:
    1. Ein Fernseher am TV-Out der Grafikkarte (da ich den VDR hauptsächlich als Abspielgerät für MPEG und DivX nutzen will)
    2. Den S-Video-Eingang der PVR 350 als Aufnahmegerät (da ich einen digitalen SAT-Receiver habe, der sein Signal über einen SCART-Anschluss raus gibt)
    3. Als Option einen TFT am VGA der Grafikkarte (für X und zum konfigurieren).
    4. Den VDR über die Fernbedienung der PVR 350 steuerbar


    Weil ich mir schon gadacht habe, dass das alles zusammen Probleme macht, habe ich einfach mal Xorg und KDE auf dem System installiert und zum laufen gebracht. Das funktioniert auch gut (mit den aktuellsten Treibern von NVidia), mit TV und TFT.


    Probleme:
    1. Beim Start bekomme ich nicht das VDR-Menü. Der Bildschirm auf Terminal 8 bleibt schwarz und oben steht die Meldung "This TTY is currently mapped to VDR,keypresses aren't echoed. For a login console switch to another console.saa7146: register extensin 'dvb'."


    2. Der VDR scheint den S-Video-Eingang der PVR nicht zu erkennen (Meldung "no DVD device found" in /var/log/messages)


    Eine neue /var/log/messages habe ich unten mal gepostet, eine /var/log/Xorg.0.log wird nicht erstellt beim Start, obwohl doch eigentlich X über xineliboutput gestartet werden sollte, oder?


    w_pvrscan ist ein paar Mal durchgelaufen, ohne den S-Video-Eingang der PVR 350 zu erkennen, derzeit bringt das Programm den Rechner nach kurzer Zeit zum Absturz (komplettes einfrieren, auch kein Zugang per SSH mehr möglich).


    Ich würde mich sehr freuen, wenn mir jemand hilft, ich weiss nicht mehr, was ich noch machen soll.

    danke für den Tipp, den EasyVDR werde ich mir auf jeden Fall mal anschauen.
    Allerdings nehme ich ganz absichtlich die PVR nicht als Ausgabekarte, da ich auch andere Formate als MPEG über den VDR anschauen möchte (z.B. DivX).
    Und als "Grafikkarte" ist die PVR wohl nicht so gut, wie ich gelesen habe.
    Und ich glaube auch, dass ich der Lösung ziemlich nahe bin, der einzige Fehler ist wohl jetzt der mit den Inkompatibilitäten der Plugins, der Rest vom Boot-Protokoll sieht schon mal viel versprechend aus.
    Ich mach' dazu vielleicht einen neuen Thread auf, das gehört ja gar nicht hier her.

    danke für die Antwort. Das mit dem xineliboutput habe ich zwischenzeitlich auch schon raus gefunden und das auch installiert.
    Ich versuche jetzt auch gerade, von Hand den VDR zu starten mit
    xinit -e vdr-sxfe -f xvdr:tcp://localhost


    Da kommt dann jetzt aber immer eine Fehlermeldung
    "Warning: the following plugins have been left out due to possible binary incompatibility:"
    Und dann eine Auflistung so ungefähr aller Plugins, die ich mit installiert habe, unter anderem auch xineliboutput.
    Habe nach dem Fehler jetzt auch schonmal gegoogelt und nichts brauchbares gefunden.
    Was kann denn das nun schon wieder sein???

    Hallo nochmal,
    also mit den gnazen Optionen im ATI-Treiber habe ich auch vergeblich rumgetestet, auch mit dem opengl-overlay.
    Ich hab's jetzt nach weiteren Basteleien mit der ATI-Karte aufgegeben und bin wieder bei der Geforce 5200 gelandet - hier habe ich zumindest jetzt mal unter KDE den TV-Out am laufen, immerhin.
    Jetzt muss ich nur noch den VDR dahin bringen, dass er mir die Bildschirmausgabe direkt auf die Grafikkarte macht, also ohne KDE. Das ist vermutlich dieser Fehler mit dem "no DVB device found".
    Ich hatte große Hoffnungen auf den neuen Treiber von ATI gesetzt, weil ja auch extra die TV-Out-Unterstützung angekündigt war, kann aber jetzt nur sagen, dass ich in Zukunft die Finger davon lasse und andere Produkte kaufe.

    Wie gesagt, ich habe auch auch schon mit einer Geforce 5200 mit TV-Out rumprobiert, mit den xorg- und den proprietären Treibern. Da ging aber auch nichts. Von daher wundert mich Deine Aussage dass der Pinguin damit rennt...
    Aber ich würde mich natürlich freuen, wenn ich das auch irgendwie zum rennen kriege.

    Hallo zusammen,
    ich versuche jetzt seit ca. 3 Wochen einen VDR unter Linux zum laufen zu bringen, bin täglich mehrere Stunden dabei und mittlerweile am verzweifeln, weil es einfach nicht klappt. Vielleicht kann mir ja hier jemand helfen, sonst muss ich es noch unter Windoofs machen (davon wollte ich eigentlich weg, bin aber nicht bereit, unendlich viel Zeit in das Projekt zu stecken).
    Mein System (derzeit): ASUS CUSL2-C / Pentium III 1GHz / 512MB RAM / Hauppauge PVR350 / ATI Radeon 9550 mit TV-Out.
    Mit einer Nvidia GEForce 5200 mit TV-Out habe ich auch schon mal eine Woche lang rum getestet, da hat aber auch nichts geklappt.
    Ich habe die C'T Version 6 vom VDR installiert, habe also ein aktuelles Debian Etch am laufen, das Kernel-Update letzte Woche habe ich auch schon hinter mir.
    Ich hätte gerne einen Fernseher am TV-Out der Grafikkarte und die Hauppauge als Aufnahmegerät, als Option einen TFT am VGA der Grafikkarte (für X und zum konfigurieren).
    Weil ich mir schon gadacht habe, dass das alles Probleme macht, habe ich einfach mal Xorg und KDE auf dem System installiert und zum laufen gebracht.
    Das tut auch (mit den aktuellsten Treibern von ATI).
    Allerdings startet weder der VDR wie vorgesehen, noch läuft unter KDE der TV-Out richtig. Unter KDE habe ich verschiedene Mediaplayer mit verschiedenen Treibern versucht, alles erfolglos. Der Mplayer z.B. zeigt mir mit dem xvidix-Treiber zwar alle Videos ruckelfrei auf dem TFT an, aber auf dem Fernseher habe ich nur ein grünes Bild. Der Xine zeigt mir auch Videos auf dem TFT an, aber auf dem Fernseher ist das Bild entweder ganz lila oder schwarz.
    Nehme ich im Mplayer den xv-Treiber, ist das Bild auf dem Fernseher schwarz, nehme ich den X11-Treiber, sehe ich das Bild zwar auch auf dem Fernseher, kann es aber nicht in den Vollbild-Modus schalten, so dass der größte Teil vom Fernseh-Bildschirm schwarz ist.
    Ach ja, Noatun habe ich auch schon mal getestet, da kriege ich zwar ein Vollbild auf dem TFT und dem Fernseher hin, aber das Bild ruckelt und die CPU-Auslastung ist ständig bei 100%.
    Das mit dem xineliboutput habe ich auch schon mal probiert, aber der VDR startet auch damit nicht in seine direkte Anzeige (ohne X).
    Es ist zum verzweifeln, es scheint keine Kombination von Treibern und Player oder sonstwas zu geben, die funktioniert.
    Vielleicht kann und mag ja irgendjemand Tipps zu der aktuellen Konfiguration geben, ich würde auch Tipps zu besserer Hardware nehmen, insbesondere andere Grafikkarte
