    In setup.conf diseqc is enabled

    Diseqc = 1

Can someone please give me the right diseqc configuration .

Here is a script that converts channels list from enigma 2 format to vdr format.
you dont need to scan for channels anymore.
custom channels list and simple to edit .Credits goes to picon
    Have a nice day .

and here is how it works

transfer via winSCP the settings in /root/astra19e/e2setting
    transfer lamedb2vdr.sh in /root/astra19e
    run on putty

    Code
    cd /root/astra19e

    run

    Code
    chmod +x lamedb2vdr.sh

    then run

    Code
    bash lamedb2vdr.sh /root/astra19e/e2setting /etc/vdr

    im currently running Openpctv

bare in mind to stop vdr while doing this process or simply change folder path on the last step and backup your current channels.conf

well first of all thanks for the quick answer , i did the same question a week ago on the forum you suggest but nobody answered me . so i thought here i might find help here
it looks like that when you say the word vdr or live tv on the forum you suggest, everybody gets headache.

Can you be a little more specific on the answer you gave me above ?
i'm not a vdr linux nerd in this field thats why i'm asking you to be a little more specific, i want the two pc to be indipendent from each other

Hi everyone i would like to know how can i setup live tv on 2 pc. i have a tbs 6982 dual tuner, one tuner i want to be accesed by the pc #1 and the other tuner i want to be accessed by the pc #2
PC #1 is server and client , PC #2 is just a client on my other room (laptop connected via wireless) both pc are running openelec 3.2.4
the tbs 6982 dual tuners are connected both to a dual lnb (single lnb with 2 output) oriented at Hotbird 13E
can someone please tell me how can i do this?.

    Good idea but wrong forum.

As you can see most people here own an ugly or nonworking htpc.
Thats why they read every posting.
They have nothing better to do because vdr crash all the time.

I could tell you how to install a 'vdr recordings server' on a cheap chinese router.
...but...before i need to communicate with fnu about chinese vs.european vs. aliens , i better go to bed . :D :ghost

i would mention the crashing problem that you said. I'm using OpenPCTV
OpenPCTV (a Linux distribution based enigma2/VDR/XBMC)
since october 2013 and the problems i noticed where very little

    Greating to all vdr-portal members.
Ii would like to ask the forum members who have build their own htpc system (hardware & software) , to share it with us and increase our knowledge about different type of builds.
Giving us some ideas on building our own system on their experience on how they made it possible they system.
A detailed info would be really apriciated something like "how to" and maybe with some photos of their build.

I hope i was clear enough on what i'm asking to all you member .

    Wishing you a nice day

Hi everyone ,today i would like to share with you this Linux distribution ready to install .
openpctv is a Linux distribution based enigma2/VDR/XBMC

    OpenPCTV in Testing --simple instructions

    • introduction of its current functions and features
It is integrated with XBMC 12.2frodo,VDR 2.0.2,Enigma2PC

It supports more than 60 languages, switching once to change to the language interface of XBMC/VDR/Enigma2.
You don't need to manually edit the configuration file, using the dialog menu style to complete the most of configurations.

You can normally use it by copying the ISO file to a USB disk(creating a virtual disk files loopdisk.img in a USB disk, USB disk capacity shall be no less than 1G)
It supports hardware decoding of AMD HD5xxx (and above) video card and Nvidia video card(Both use VDPAU). It can be normally used under VDR/XBMC, currently only supports Nvidia video cards under Enigma2.

It directly drives infrared receiver device using the kernel, common IR remote devices can directly support VDR/XBMC without any configuration.
For DVB and V4L device driver it provides both kernel support and additional driver packages support, The additional packages including S2-liplianin and TBS can be selected to install in the configuration setup.

DiSEqC setting and channels scanning are all configured with dialog menu style. According to the configuration of DiSEqC.conf , it uses scan-s2 to scan channel.
*XVDR addon is already installed in XBMC, you can watch VDR TV shows with XBMC by default..

    • How to use
Under Windows you can use 'Ultraiso' to write openpctv-.iso into a USB flash disk.
Under Linux you can use syslinux tools to write a boot record in anUSB flash disk, then copy all included files of ISO into the USB flash disk. Such as:
      mkdir /tmp/iso # set openpctv-.iso file mountpoint.
      mount -o loop/where/is/you/openpctv-
      .iso /tmp/iso # mount openpctv-.iso to /tmp/iso.
      cp -a /tmp/iso/
/media/usb # copy all included files of ISO to your USB disk.
      # /Media/USB is the mountpoint of your USB disk.
syslinux /dev/sdb4 # /dev/sdb4 is the device of the USB disk
      cd /media/usb
      mv isolinux syslinux
mv syslinux/isolinux.cfg syslinux/syslinux.cfg # change isolinux to syslinux
When you start it for the first time, please enter 'Setup mode' to complete all the initial configurations.

openpctv-.iso can be burned into CD, and you can normally run OpenPCTV with LiveCD mode, but all changes will be lost after reboot.

You can use the installer to install the system in your hard disk. But at present it can only be installed in your entire hard disk.
Xorg runs on tty4, you can at any time press Ctrl+Alt+F1 ... F3 to switch and login to shell using root:root, you can run 'setup' in the bash shell environment to configure. Note that if vdr.service is running, then all changes for VDR will be invalid. You can stop vdr.service this time. such as:
systemctl stop vdr # Stop vdr.service
systemctl stop xbmc # Stop xbmc.service
      systemctl stop enigma2pc # Stop enigma2pc.service

You can use the ssh remote to login in OpenPCTV (user:root, password:root, scp and sftp are both supported), also can use ftp (user:password openpctv:openpctv)

    • The current known bug
*Enigma2 has a lot of work to do,but is available now)

Here is a installation guide http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rx9ZXpQvWZs

Here is the download link with diferent monthly releases :

I didn't argue about NFVDR, I answered only on other posts that mentioned it. Maybe you should read your initial question again. You asked whether it is possible to do that and I answered yes, only in other words.
In this first post you didn't tell anything about your environment, so it was not possible to go into more detail. So it is okay for me to answer this first post with the experiences I have from my own distribution.
Anyway, if this distribution is really based on Ubuntu 10.04 you will get it to work only, if you are able to compile the necessary packages on your own. This version of Ubuntu is much too old. There are no repositories with ready made packages for it.

Because of your question for a step by step guide, I can say now to your initial question, no it is not possible until you not change the distribution.

    Gerald

thanks for your honest answer sir , . what if i change to yavdr 0.5. will it be any chance that you could tell me how to do it , or the best distribution that you can suggest me to make this possible ?

No interest, I made my own VDR-Distribution. ;)

    Gerald

i would be thanksfull if you could give me a hand about the question a asked above about the VDR info display, and not argue about NFVDR , :( :( that system is not created be me , i found it on a chinese forum and i decided to share with no profit on it .
