how to install channelscan

Can somebody explain to me how to install channelscan from kikko77, i use Fedora core 5 and i have install vdr 1.4.1

HI,
why do you need the channelscan?
VDR 1.4 can do this itself. Go to settings, somewhere you find the entry. You can select off, only PID, new channels, new transponders.
All the names are just a fuzzy recall.

Every time when i tray to scan hotbird i see next error

scandvb -o vdr -p -x 0 Hotbird-13.0E > scan.conf
scanning Hotbird-13.0E
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
main:2247: FATAL: failed to open '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0': 16 Device or res ource busy

looks like you are running vdr while trying dvbscan.
You have to stop it.

i have stopped vdr, when tray i see this error now

using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
ERROR: initial tuning failed
dumping lists (0 services)

can somebody give right pad how to scan, i use this pad now
scandvb -o vdr -p -x 0 scan.conf >> scan.conf
