Mal eine Frage zu dem Feature: refactored time controlled import to allow up to 12 imports per day
Gibt es dazu eine Option, um das zu aktivieren?
Ich habe dazu auf die Schnelle nichts gefunden.
Aha, habe es jetzt gefunden. 
Ich dachte das wäre eine globale Einstellung, aber Du hast das für jede EPG-Quelle separat einstellbar gemacht.

ich habe momentan ein Problem mit dem Plugin in Version-4.8
Vorgeschichte:
Ich bin dabei meinen Streamingdienst zu wechseln und musste deshalb einige Kanäle löschen, zufügen, neu zuweisen usw.
Nach dem ich das gemacht hatte und nach einem Neustart werden bei mir immer automatisch per Cronjob die aktuellen EPG-Daten über das Plugin eingelesen. Das hat bisher problemlos immer funktioniert.
Jetzt habe ich allerdings kurz nach dem Neustart, wenn dann das xmltv4vdr-Plugin die EPG-Daten aktualisiert einen Neustart des VDRs.
Im syslog habe ich dazu folgende Fehlermeldungen:

Okay, habe ich mir gesagt, dann mach einmal Alles neu und habe deshalb die /var/lib/vdr/plugins/xmltv4vdr/xmltv4vdr.conf gelöscht,
damit ich keine evtl. alten Sachen mehr habe, sondern alles neu zuweisen muss.
Aber da habe ich jetzt schon beim Konfigurieren des Plugins Probleme! 
Hier mal, was ich ausgeführt habe:
1. Ich habe zuerst die EPG-Quelle eingerichtet.
2. Dann habe ich in den 1. EPG-Quell-Kanal die Grundeinstellungen gemacht: Zuweisen der EPG-Quelle und einstellen der EPG-Quellkanal-Option auf "nur ext. Events benutzen" (auch andere Optionen funktionieren nicht)
3. Und dann wollte ich wie immer diese Grundeinstellungen auf alle Quell-Kanäle kopieren, über die "BLAUE"-Taste.
Doch das funktioniert schon nicht. Das Kopieren wird überhaupt nicht ausgeführt. Es passiert gar nichts, es gibt auch keineDa ist also schon der Wurm drin!
Im syslog steht folgendes, aber keine Fehlermeldung o.ä.:

Wäre super, wenn Du Dir das mal anschauen kannst, damit ich wieder ein EPG für die IPTV-Kanäle habe.
Aha, ich hatte in Erinnerung, dass das Kopieren auch sofort möglich gewesen ist.
Aber wenn das nur auf bereits zugewiesene Kanäle geht, dann werde ich nochmals alle Kanäle zuweisen und dann schauen, ob es wieder einen Fehler gibt.
Wird aber wohl heute nicht mehr, da jetzt erstmal der Tatort aufgenommen wird.
Ich melde mich, wenn ich wieder testen konnte.
Entwarnung, es funktioniert alles wieder.
Gestern war ich etwas irritiert, weil ich ja diesen "segfault" beim Starten des Plugins hatte.
Und als ich dann die Zuweisungen der IPTV-Kanäle neu machen wollte, dann hat das Kopieren der Grundeinstellungen auf alle Kanäle nicht funktioniert.
Aber wie FireFly erklärt hat, funktioniert dies nur auf bereits zugewiesene Kanäle, was auch bei genauerere Betrachtung logisch ist.
Heute habe ich nun alle Kanäle neu zugewiesen und es funktioniert alles wie erwartet.
Der segfault ist allerdings nicht so prickelnd gewesen, liegt aber vermutlich an meinem Versuch einer schnellen Lösung, in dem ich einfach die alten Zuweisungen überschreiben wollte. Ich hatte ja die Kanäle und auch die xmltv-Datei geändert und teilweise händisch umbenannt.
Besser ist es sicherlich bei einer großen Änderung die Konfiguration komplett neu zu machen!

Ich habe mal meine alte xmltv4vdr.conf angehängt. Vielleicht erkennst Du da etwas, was das segfault auslösen konnte.
Meine alte Zuweisung und xmltv-Datei war easyepg-zattoo , die neue ist dann die easyepg-iptv .
Die xmltv-Datei ist 13MB groß, das ist hier zu groß, wenn Du die trotzdem noch brauchst, dann müsste ich das separat machen.
Entwarnung, es funktioniert alles wieder.

Wie hattest Du denn die Umstellung gemacht? Eine neue Quelle in /var/lib/epgsources angelegt und nach einem VDR Neustart die Kanal-Einträge in Plugin geändert oder die xmltv4vdr.conf geändert?
Wenn ich die xmltv4vdr.conf ändere bei gestopptem VDR dann sind haben die Kanäle bei unbekannter (neuer) Quelle keine EPG-Quelle mehr, das bricht also nicht ab.
So genau weiß ich das jetzt gar nicht mehr, aber ich glaube ich hatte den VDR gestoppt und die Dateien umbenannt und teilweise geändert. Und dann einen Neustart (reboot) gemacht.
Aber als es danach nicht lief war jetzt für mich nicht das große Ding, das war nur der "segfault", der unschön war. Am meisten hat mich ja irritiert, dass das Kopieren der Grundeinstellungen nicht funktionierte. Deshalb dachte ich ja, dass etwas mit dem Plugin nicht i.O. ist. Aber das hast Du ja bereits erklärt, das dies Kopieren erst mit zugewiesenen Kanälen funktioniert.

I have trouble configuring the plugin, and i think i have probably missed some basic settings. I pull max data with tv_grab_fi, and eg one channel has programmes with start="20260822203000". The problem is that this is not saved into vdr, Instead i get data for about one week, and some channels do end up empty. My EPG source looks like this

Hi, you are telling to use only ext. EPG events but not which fields 0x100000000000. You should select in the menu for each channel at least title, shorttext and description to be imported into VDR.
The easiest way to do this for all channels is to select the desired fields for one channel and copy them to all other channels with the blue button (which is only available while the cursor is on one of the EPG source options like 'title')

Ok, I remember I've implemented this some time ago to force these three fields to be imported (I do not use this mode).
Did you leave each channel submenu with <Enter> ? Because <Back> will not save the changes.
I still think it has to do something with the flags because with empty flags it will loop over the entries in the DB and import nothing into VDR.
I tried to get your flags entry 0x100000000000 but did not manage via the menu.

No, there is no limitation. It just takes longer for more channels and more events.
It is possible that i did not hit ok, and got that row after a reset. You could maybe add a "ok saves" button?
I did now a more throughout test. I have for each channel a separate configuration, all with the same config (0x100000004900). This approach imported for all channels more or less everything. With one single config, it imports just less than one week worth of data.. The single config setup also misses for some channels the epg
ps. could you btw change the way the channel-list is sorten: alpha-numeric. Now it's as text, so it sorts like 1, 10, 106, 11, 13, 2 etc instead of 1,2,3,4,5,6

This looks like it fails somewhere silently ... Can you create a tracelog with e.g. --logfile=/tmp/xmltv4vdr.log and send it to me ? (Could be several MB)
Does a single config work if you copy the settings with the blue button from a working channel to all others (or manually copy the flags to each channel in the xmltv4vdr.conf while VDR ist stopped) ? Or do all entries already have the same flags 0x100000004900 ?

When assigning a VDR channel to an EPG channel? The VDR channels are in the same order as in channels.conf where the favourites are (mosty likely) at the beginning because on SAT with more than 1000 channels finding a channel in a sorted list would be a nightmare

When i clear all settings, 0x0 get's saved correctly in the config file. When i change the setting to "use only ext. epg events", it changes it correctly to the selected channel. Copy to all, updates this setting to all channels: Works as it should. I can't reproduce the 0x100000000000, but if i figure out that, then i inform you about it.
I did a manual "start import" for the myepgdata with all channels, but that resulted in about 350 entries in the syslog. When i do the same with the channels spread out on individual configs, all get's imported. So probably something when looping over to the next channel?
What i meant with the sorting of channels, this was the main setup view.
Would be easier to find aroud with the list sorted numerically
