they are just not a dependency of yavdr-essential anymore. So normally these packages are removed only if "apt-get autoremove" is called (unless you set their installation status to "manual")(http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/preci…apt-mark.8.html)
Ok, thanks for the info. I run from time to time an "apt-get autoremove" and "apt-get autoclean". So, that can be the explanation.

The packet vdrsymbols-ttf was not installed, I have installed them and I restart vdr, but wareagle icons keep on missing. Instead of them, a rectangle symbol appears

I'm not sure but VDRSymbols should IIRC setup as font to use in OSD => Settings / OSD / [Default font|Small font] ... afair I do use "VDRSymbols Sans:Book" ...

Thanks. I have configured the same setup than you for the fonts. The icons in recordings list (to mark the new ones) and in the scheduled recordings are not the same, but it is ok.
