Vermutlich weil du add-apt-repository nicht gesagt hast, dass es die Paketquelle für die Quellpakete auch aktivieren soll.

ich möchte jetzt gern die VDR Daten und die daten aus dem tvm-plugin mergen...

epgd hat die epg daten von tvm eingelesen und auch die einzelnen Bilder gedownloaded...
die originale ligen unter /var/cashe/vdr/epgimages/images und die symliks unter /var/cashe/vdr/epgimages
aber wie bekomme ich jetzt die Bilder in live hinein?
In der Plugin *.conf von Live den Imagepfad angeben. Falls weitere Fragen zu Live sind mache einen eigenen Thread dazu auf, das paßt hier nicht mehr rein ins HowTo

Ich habe Angst.
Ich habe mit diesem HowTo (verteufelt oder nicht) erfolgreich! epgd zum laufen gebracht. Dies war allerdings mein erster Ausflug nach Testing und "selber bauen", daher bin ich entsprechend unsicher.
Folgendes habe ich wie beschrieben hinzugefügt:
# vdr 2
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yavdr/testing-vdr
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yavdr/testing-yavdr
# main muss dabei sein
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yavdr/main
Jetzt gibt es ja die neue Version für epgd 0.2.2 siehe Frodos Post hier
Wenn Du ein "apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade" durchführst wird wahrscheinlich Dein Eigenbau ersetzt.
wenn ich nun
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade --dry-runmache sehe ich dass überall "testing" drin steht, was sogar mir einleuchtet (siehe oben)
$ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade --dry-run

=> Frage: Wenn ich nun testing-vdr und testing-yavdr aus den sources lösche, kann ich dann ganz normal meine updates und dist-upgrade machen?
Solange die nicht mein selbstgebautes paket anfassen sollte das doch gehen oder?
Wie komme ich dann aber auf die neue epgd 0.2.2.
Muss ich hierzu zuerst mein gewurstel irgendwie deinstallieren? Oder kann ich aus dem Stable drüber installieren
Sorry ich bin gerade echt vorsichtig denn es funktioniert alles wie es soll und eigentlich will ich das nur vorbeugend klären, wenn ich nämlich was neues installieren will passiert was "gruseliges":

Was mir aber noch nicht wirklich klar ist ist das verhalten bei Änderungen in der channelmap.conf.
Angenommen ich möchte hier einen neuen Kanal hinzufügen oder eine fehlerhafte Zuordnung korrigieren.
Wie kann ich danach eine Aktualisierung anstarten? Oder muss ich einfach die in der epgd.conf angegebene Zeit warten?
Wenn ich epgd neu starte und anschließend das epg von epg2vdr neu aufbauen lasse reicht das auf alle Fälle nicht aus. Bei einer Änderung ist der entsprechende Kanal dann erst mal ohne EPG.
