TT S2-3650 CI USB with DiSeqC 2.0 under linux?

  • Hi all,

I'm trying for 2 weeks to get my TT3650 running in a diseqc 2.0 4/1 setup.
Running Ubuntu 11.04 (2.6.38-8 kernel) and using the svn from liplianin for the drivers/modules.
I just can't get it working. The driver works with 1 satellite straight to LNB. The setup also works fine under windows but with linux I can't get the diseqc 2.0 working.
All scanning apps are failing tuning whatever I try. (ie. w_scan -o7 -fs -s S19E2 -D0c)
I'm very sure that the setup is fine. switchport 0=19.2, port 1=13.0, port 2=23,5 and port 3=28.2

Are these drivers supporting diseqc 2.0 anyway or do I need to patch?

    Please help!

    Thanks.

There are no special 2.0 dependences, diseqc 1.0 settings are fine.

  • I have a TT Connect S2 3600 and always had problems with any Diseqc commands (not necessarily 2.0) on Linux (never tested Windows). After I switched to a powered multiswitch all problems were gone.
But you should be able to tune to the channels of Diseqc position 1 even if Diseqc doesn't work with the TT 36*0 and your Diseqc switch is not powered.

  • Hmmm...strange. I have no signal on switch 0 (or any other) either. The diseqc is an unpowered one, so power/tone from the receiver (tt3650)
De diseqc is new and working (tested with dreambox and windows)

Can the length be an issue? Probably not because like I said its working in windows.

May the Win Drivers do something different? For example send the diseqc command twice or have more tolerance at the tuning frequency (may you lnb have an LOF drift?)? Or the Win Driver support switching the power to an higher level (eg. 18,5Volt and not 18Volt)?
diseqc 1.0 (that is what you need) are basic, every dvb Hardware should support this.

The problem with unpowered switches are that the dvb card need power the switch and the lnb.
