Habe vdr-1.2.6 und vdr-dvd-0.3.4-rc10 installiert.
VDR funktioniert.
Nicht aber das DVD-Plugin.
Beim Aufruf 'DVD' aus dem OSD-Menü leuchtet kein LW-LED.

Was ist aus der unteren Fehlermeldung zu lesen ?

nur mal eine Verständisfrage:

für was genau kann ich das xine-plugin verwenden ?
Mein etwas schwächerer Rechner muß die dvd's über die DVB-karte schicken.
Habe xine installiert.
Wie schaffe ich jetzt als Linuxanfänger xine über die dvb-karte abzuspielen ?
Mit besagtem plugin ?

ich habe als Linuxanfänger jetzt den vdr 1.2.6 am Laufen. Mit dvd-pludin.
Mit dem dvd-Pugin starten einzelne DVD's nicht.
Habe mir deshalb gestern Xine installiert. Dort läßt sich jetzt eine bisher nicht zu startende DVD öffnen
und abspielen. Allerdings ohne DVB-Unterstützung.

Brauche ich jetzt das xine-Plugin damit ich über die DVB-s-Karte abspielen kann ?

Ohne die DVB-Karte ist mein Rechner zu langsam.

K6- III 400Mhz, Suse 8.2.

Danke für die Hilfe.
Als Einsteiger ist aber das Vortasten in so kleinen Schritten äußerst mühsam.

Nachdem ich xawtv nun nicht gestartet habe, habe ich jetzt nach Eingabe von "fbtv" auf der 2.Konsole
endlich ein TV-Bild auf dem Monitor. Mit 800x600 Aulösung füllt es den Schirm aber nicht ganz aus.
Jetzt gibt's wohl ein Komando mit "mode ?" um dies zu korrigieren.

Auch sind nach dem Wechsel auf die 2. Konsole keine Tastatureingaben für das OSD-Menü mehr
möglich. fbtv, dafür kein osd per tastatur. Heißt das, dass jetzt nur die Fernbedienung per Lirc
hilft ?

xawtv ist gestartet und läuft.
ALT+STRG+F2 gibt nur eine leere 2. Konsole.

Habe eine Voodoo 3 von 3dfx. Framebufferunterstützung ist als Modul installiert.

Nach Login nichts und auch nicht mit fbtv.

Warum klappt's nicht ?

Hallo,

ich habe den vesa frame buffer unter /dev/fb0 eingerichtet.

dmesg | grep fb0 gibt mir aus:
==> fb0: Vesa frame buffer device

1. DVB-Treiber geladen
2. ./vdr -Pdvd
3. xawtv gestartet

Wie läßt sich nun auf einer Konsole bildschirmfüllend fernsehen ?

bei Eingabe von fbtv tut sich nichts.

das war's.
Das war vielleicht trivial, aber für einen Anfänger, der einfach einen direkten Start erwartet hatte, ist
eine Fehlermeldung zuerst eine Fehlfunktion.
Es ist schon schwierig, wenn man andauernd knobeln muß.
Nochmals Danke für den Tip.

Trotzdem noch eine Frage:

2 DVD's konnte er abspielen. Bei zweien blieb nach dem Menüaufruf DVD und dem Öffnen mit
libdvdcss er einfach stehen. Hatte angemahnt, dass etwas fehlen würde.

Also die DVB-s findet er schon. VDR läuft ja,wenn ich ihn starte.

Wenn ich den DVB-Treiber mit make insmod lade und dann eingebe

./vdr -Pdvd

dann wird nicht die eingelegte DVD gestartet, sondern der VDR mit Bild und Ton.

Nochmal neu installieren ?

Kann ich alle notwendigen Pakete nochmals installieren ?

Er findet das DVD-Laufwerk nicht.

Manuell ist es zu mounten:
mount /dev/sr0 /media/dvd

Was fehlt da noch ?
Muß ich die runvdr anpassen ?
Als root schreibrechte auf dvd-LW einrichten ?
Oder Plugin neu installieren?

remote.conf gelöscht. Lernmodus wieder durchlaufen und Menü ist zu sehen. Aber nach Neustart wieder
kein Menü erreichbar. Keine Tastatureingabe mehr möglich.

Probleme derzeit:
DVB-Treiber läßt sich laden. VDR mit ./vdr ebenfalls. Anschließend xawtv.
Tastaturlernmodus durchlaufen. Tastatureingabe funktioniert.
Nach Beenden und Neustart von xawtv aber keine Tastenfunktion für VDR mehr vorhanden.
Trotz angelegter remote.conf.

ALT+F8 , da habe ich nur einen schwarzen Bildschirm.
Ich habe aber seltsamerweise doch den Lernmodus durchlaufen können.
Aber nach der Abfrage save ? und abspeichen, waren zuerst Befehle möglich. Dann habe ich alles stehen lassen und habe eine Pause eingelegt. Jetzt läßt sich das Menü wieder nicht mehr aufrufen.
Up und down zur Programmwahl auch nicht, nichts. Als da soll mal einer noch ruhig bleiben.
Ich habe nun verflixt VIEL Zeit schon damit verbracht. Aber ohne Erfolgserlebnisse geht's nicht.

Das kann doch nicht so schwer sein.
DVD-Treiber läßt sich laden. make insmod in /DVD/driver
./vdr in /usr/local/src/VDR
Dies unter X in einer Console. weitere Eingabe dann nicht mehr möglich.

In der 2.geöffneten Konsole:

Dann habe ich Bild und Ton. Aber keine Navigation mehr.

In welcher Reihenfolge ist denn zu installieren ?
wie ist das bisherige plugin zu entfernen ?

ich las deinen Artikel zum Anlernen der tastatur.
Nachdem ich auch schon verzweifle mit dem vdr und hier per suchen auf dem Portal bisher nicht fündig geworden bin, die Frage an Dich:

vdr 1.2.6 installiert.
dvb-s-treiber funktioniert.
start mit ./runvdr in /usr/local/src/VDR
Lernmodus erscheint.
Ich habe mit "make VFAT=1" kompiliert.
Will vorerst keine Fernbedienung.

Ist jetzt die tastatur anzulernen ?
welche datei entsteht, und wo ?
geht dies nur auf konsole 7 ?

Danke im voraus für einen Linux-Anfänger.
