TBS6280 is a dual tuner PCI-Express interface DVB-T2/T TV Tuner Card which supports watching or recording two different channels from two different frequencies simultaneously. TBS 6280 can be used as a digital video recorder for recording digital terrestrial TV programs with full HDTV support. It also enables you to pause a live broadcast and continue from where you left with the Time-shifting function. This DVB T2 PC TV card is ready with windows BDA driver and Linux driver. It’s ideal for watching UK Freeview SD and HD channels on your PC.

Both are PCI-E cards although I am trying to work out why the 6220 appears to have two antenna/aerial connectors, prehaps it has a passthrough. so glad have new comers in DVB T2 card development.

    hi Cody,

TBS 6984 has fully functional Linux driver that will work in any of the two distribution you mentioned - in fact you already have customers using TBS 6984 to build embedded Linux system with it. there is no README file in the Linux driver RAR archive, because it's already flooded with READMEs and they contain all the necessary information - for example steps to install the driver are the same no matter of the model and the rest of the READMEs is how to use some common DVB tools in Linux like 'szap-s2', 'scan-s2', etc which don't depend on specific hardware either. so, basically, you can use any of the READMEs files for

TBS 6984. also, you can check for yourself the driver is present in the
    archive:

    linux-tbs-drivers/linux/drivers/media/common/saa716x/saa716x_tbs.[c|h]

also, TBS 6984 drivers for Linux use the standard Linux DVB API version
5.x (aka S2API) and thus it has support in any Linux DVB application
including MythTV - there are is nothing specific in the installation and
it's done as any other DVB device.

Hope that answers your questions. ?(

TBS 6925 is one of TBS’S new released professional satellites PC tuner card, which is intend to professional use. It can support 16APSK/32APSK transponders, CCM, VCM and ACM mode. That’ a breakthrough in satellite reception. The key feature of this sat pc card is to capture multiple Transport Stream and Generic Stream up to 190 Mbit/s channel bit rate and support a Wide range symbol rates from 200Ksps to 45Msps.

After a long test, TBS 6925 has succeeded in locking multiple Transport Stream and Generic Stream, especially in Mediaset and MIS stream. there are some other 16APSK transponders over Europe except the one on Hotbird 13E satellite for example on 5W, 12.5W and 32APSK for example on 21.6E.Mediaset on HotBird use Multi stream for 16APSK mode. Here are a list o transponders in find using different status registers of the ST-based NIM on TBS 6925:

    Mediaset

    - all frequencies on 13E (11334H, 11373H, 11432V) use 2/3-DVB-S2, VCM-16 QAM,CCM with Multiple Input Stream (MIS) enabled (there are two active streams) and also active Input Stream Synchronization Indicator (ISSYI), roll-off factor value is 0.20
    - all frequencies on 5W (11667V, 12585H) use the same setting as on 13E that are mentioned above
    * 12717H on 12.5W: it's ACM with 4 active Multiple Input Streams (MIS) enabled
    * 11495V on 45W: it's ACM with 1 active Single Input Stream (SIS) and roll-off factor value is 0.20
    * 11915H on 31E: it's 16APSK CCM with 1 active Single Input Stream (SIS) and roll-off factor value is 0.25
There are also other transponders on other satellite, such as--37.5 W Telstar 11N-Date(11019 V, 11065 V) can up 32APSK.
    *11019 V, sr.8229,Auto, DVB-S2/32APSK,
    *11065 V, sr.2060,Auto, DVB-S2/APSK.

Test is still ongoing, More transponders are found .We are so glad to see it works well. More good news will be waiting for this professional card.

I saw TBS has released 6925, which can receive and demodulate 32APSK like that
    http://www.tbsdtv.com/english/product/6925.html
    http://www.tbsdtv.com/english/product/6925.html
1..CCM, VCM and ACM mode support
    2.Support Multiple Transport Stream Receiving
    3.Support Generic Stream capture
    4..Transponders blind scan
5..Up to 190 Mbit/s channel bit rate capture

Is that true? Did anyone try to watch 16APSK transponders (i.e. from 13Е DVB-S2/16APSK
    11334 H 27500 2/3 11432 V 27500 2/3) with 6925 in Europe?

    Hi there,

i own a TBS6981 and use it with a yavdr linux distribition.

My problem, I get no input device for the integrated remote controller of TBS card to configure lirc.

The driver 1.92.2 loads correct (don't be confused, i use also a 'Terratec Cinergy T USB XXS, and this one creates a/dev/input device)

Can you help me or tell me the right way to use the remote control with lirc?

    Hi,
i don't know the TBS 5890, but the CI-Interface needs a feature that is called MTD = Multi Transponder Decrypting. Maybe TBS has an other name for this feature. Otherwise you need 2 CAMS and 2 Smartcards. Or the "bad" plugin... ;)

Thanks for your help, but this pc tv tuner has only 1 CAM . according to its specification , it support MTD. so what's the wrong?

So If I want to record 1 channel on transponder "a" and see an
other channel on transponder "b" from same provider, the customer needs
2 CAM's and 2 smartcards from this provider? This is correct? I'm not
sure because somebody told me about a technology which allows to decode
several transponders with 1 CAM.i Just got a TBS 5890 TV tuner, which support Ci :D
