suspendoutput plugin mal versuchen. Oder evtl falls du streamdev nutzt server immer pausieren aktivieren.

I have errors on some channels i´d like to debug. I did a fresh compilesince this sending that trac command dosn´t seem to have any impact...

This means i simply set "UpdateChannels" to "Add Transponders" in VDR Setup? This is the setting i have but in comparison to my diretc attached dvb-s card i don´t see any updates in the log.

Danke für das Howto, wirklich sehr hilfreich, auch für andere Plattformen. Als Ergänzungsvorschlag wäre evtl noch eine Installation von XBMC (http://michael.gorven.za.net/raspberrypi/xbmc) interessant mit Switchscript. Damit ist der pi, für mich, als Client komplett.

Für das satip Plugin ist die Octopus wohl Referenz, ich nutze den Triax TSS400, konnte bereits das satip Plugin positiv auf yavdr, raspberry pi und diskstation testen. Hab aber noch mit einigen Problemen zu kämpfen, z.B. lassen sich manche Dritte bei mir nicht über das Plugin öffnen, wohl aber bei direktem Zugriff per VLC oder manche Kanäle (ZDF HD) kommen nicht beim Sprung vom ARD aber beim Sprung von Pro7 (hochzappen geht nicht nur runterzappen). Evtl klappt das mit dem vtuner besser, das hatte ich bisher jedoch noch nicht getestet.

How is channel scanning made with this plugin? I don´t see any further updates in the log. If i start a scane e.g. with wirbelscan he doesn´t find anything as there is no dvb device to use. Can i obtain the channels directly from the server?
I have the situation that some channels can be played if i access via vlc but not via the plugin.

Ich meine irgendwo gelesen zu haben das das satip plugin nur so viele tuner belegt wie benötigt werden, daher die Frage. Klar hat das Plugin dann Pech wenn die Tuner weg sind- das Verhalten sollte aber strom sparen und eben tuner frei halten für andere clients wenn nicht gerade benutzt.

Frage an der Stelle: muss in der diseqc.conf etwas konfiguriert werden wenn man (ausschließlich) das satip Plugin benutzt? Ich habe diseq deaktiviert und starte mit "-d 4". Der satip server zeigt in der Konstellation immer 4 clients an, auch wenn nur Sender geschaut wird, ist das normal oder ist da etwas schlecht konfiguriert?

Any updates on your issues?

My device was and is running fine. I had some log entries that were unclear but TV was working all the time.
I just made it to run on my diskstation NAS and it is lot more stable than USB DVB devices attached because of driver problems.
The NAS ditributes now to clients via streamdev/xvdr and handels recodings.

The used bitmasks are described in log.h and the tracing mode can also be set straight from the startup via a command-line option (-t).

Tried this but still nothing happens. I i wouldn´t see the output in the log and the menu i would think it is not loading..

tried that version, same thing. Semmes that the communication is interrupet by _something_ i already disabled firewall rules but no changes.. i´d like to send a curl request from the command line but i don´t know a really comparable request. maybe i have a port conflict, but i don´t know wich port i need to search for.

today i tried to get the satip plugin working on a headless server, same vdr version, pluginversion, sources.conf, channels.conf, but i don´t get a connection.
dlns discover doen´t work so i added the server via plugin option.

clear to see that connection failed seems to be the problem but i don´t know how to fix. tried restart of all devices as i found that in de different thread but no change.
i can ping the satip server from the vdr. i also tried to check port 1900 seemes to work, too...

difference in log to my other vdr is the message "SATIP#0 tuner thread started (pid=4628, tid=4708, prio=high)" is missing

any ideas how to proceed?

But i get this all the time not only on channel switch.

One thing not working yet: I configured satip with 4 devices, all are recognized but i cannot stream (streamdev) from different transponders. The triax shows that he tuned the other channel, looking fine but picture stays black. Log: Dec 30 22:25:46 vdr: [16813] SATIP: Detected 3 RTP packet errors [device 1]
Ocassionally even this is working, but i couldn´t find out yet why. Output on tv isn`'t touched by this and running stable for the moment.

Is it really that crappy? For now it is running fine (sources.conf was the issue), but i can still send the receiver back if there is be bedder supported one with similar price..

i just received a Triax TSS400 and tried the satip plugin. I used the lastest version(1.0.0) and vdr 2.1.6.
Sady to say but i don´t get a picture. Not shur if it is a misconfiguration or just not working.
The SatIP Serve ris found by the plugin as active server, with the yellow "Devices" button it show 4 devices, with card index, has lock strenght and quality but i don´t get a picture.

Die Configs habe ich leider gerade nicht zur Hand sonst hätte ich sie gepostet, hole ich heute Abend nach. Ich vermute ja den Fehler bei den Kabeln am Multiswitch, ist das möglich? Die Kabel VV und VH sind da vermutlich die relevanten?

ich bin von Kabel auf SAT umgestiegen und dort ein absoluter Neuling. Ich betreibe einen Quattro LNB mit einem Unicable Multiswitch. Im VDR habe ich scr und diseqc gemäß wiki eingetragen mit den Frequenzen des Switchs.
Einige Sender kann ich jedoch nicht empfangen z.B.:

Mit ist dabei aufgefallen das es sich immer um Sender mit "VC" handelt. Hat jemand eine Idee wo hier die Ursache liegen könnte?
