2 GB parts in TS format

    I have simple question - is it possible to record TS stream (1.7.14) without dividing it into 2GB parts? Or is there windows converter which can convert all parts into one file in mpeg4 format? Till now I used older version of Handbrake which accept TS stream as a source, but source file wasn't splitted.

    I'm not sure about the exact release. I think it must have been an early 1.7.x release when the recording file size limit has been lifted to 1TB per recording. This should be enough for quite a while ;)

    Look for your setup.conf file in your vdr[devel]-config-directory, e.g. /var/lib/vdr or /var/lib/vdrdevel is the default for the ctvdr distribution. Inside the file look for MaxVideoFileSize and change the value to a higher number, I use MaxVideoFileSize = 15000 under vdr 1.7.14 w/o any problems. Just make sure vdr is not running when you do the changes and of course that your are not using FAT32 as file system :)

    I had a default parameter from 1.6 distro.
    What about software which can re-join splitted part?


    And next similair question - is there plugin (nice would be for VDRAdmin but i doubt there is one) or some automatic script which convert TS file into mpeg4?


    The best would be to have in VDRAdmin recording list to have another button"convert" which would queue conversion to another format.


    Something like Extern would be sufficient. Of course TS file would be deleted at the end and eventually streamed when needed.


    And last question, I don't have polish letters in EPG, is there something to set to gain polish letters?
