Hi scubidoo,

If you're going for the default installation this is your problem, as the lvm setup is broken in the current iso. Just try with "normal" partitions (all but lvm), and it should do.

Try burning a new dvd/dvdrw, looks like a disc or dvd player error (cable, bios setting etc).

choose your remote in the yavdr webfrontend
then restart-vdr in the webfrontend (there are some problems, but just try it)
now you should be able to "train" your remote in vdr

try to use wirbelscan !!
system-->settings-->plugins-->wirbelscan

To close XBMC and go back to VDR you simply have to press "power"-button on the remote.
