hi all

try to make my new reelvdr and the problem appears

for my remote control works i have to do this

added this file on modprobe.d

/etc/modprobe.d/usbhid

and edit this file whit
options usbhid quirks=0x15c2:0x0038:0x0004

after this i have do to this
sudo depmod -ae
sudo update-initramfs -u

but no way to the system dont charge usbhid for driver off my remote

i test on old reelvdr and works

on ubuntu 8.04 8.10 9.04 and 9.10 and works

only on the new factory dvd i can acheive this

any idea??

at the end of the day my new system are working fine the only thing missing is something strange

the system dont go to kde on vga but goes on reelvdr

for my problem i have to cheat the system making a new lirc script

and the remote works

now try to see why the kde don start on vga

i think is xorg.conf but let see

problem solved for nvidia cards

lets try to explayn what i do

first we have to go on this file

/etc/default/linux-restricted-modules-common

and make this

DISABLED_MODULES="nv nvidia_new"

them go to a console and make

/etc/init.d/kdm stop

after that dowload the last drivers from nvidia

and install it whit this comand

sudo sh ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86-185.18.36-pkg1.run -a -q -X -k `uname -r`

and now if you have a nvidia card 8 or above you have vdpau working

and your kde to

last task remaining to do is compile reelchannelscan but this gone be tomorow

on the folder skinreel3 only have blue but on skinreelng have black

Sorry my ReelBox are in german.
You must go to "Bildschirmmenu & Sprache -> Experten (Blue button)" and you can change blue to black or wathever.

I use "skinreel3 -f /usr/share/reel/skinfonts" but /usr/share/reel/skinfonts don't exist.

Do you not see any other color, you must install "aptitude install reel-opt-themes".
If you look in "/etc/vdr/themes" you can see the installed themes.

and another thing is before the update om system settings i have skinreelng and now i dont have why???

The reelvdr based on vdr-1.4 and goes to vdr-1.6. With begining vdr-1.6 we beame a new directory locale, on vdr-1.4 vdr do this with I18n.
The code from reelvdr was not clean at this time.

Hallo,
habe mit Hilfe dieses Hwotos den Reelvdr zum laufen bekommen,
verwende eine eHD und eine Hauppauge Nova-HD-S2.

Nun meine Frage gibt es eine Möglichkeit die Hauppauge FB mit dem Remote-plugin zu verwenden ?
Habe schon lirc mit dieser FB versucht jedoch werden die Tasten immer doppelt "gedrückt"
Wäre super wenn es eine Lösung geben würde.

Das Remote Plugin wird beim reelvdr geladen du muss allerdings die datei /reel/reelvdr editieren.

#INPUTDEV="/dev/input/eventX"
ändern in
INPUTDEV="/dev/input/eventX"

eventX ist das event deiner FB.

das mit den doppelten Tastendrücke gibts beim Remote Plugin auch.
Aber da gibts Abhilfe http://www.vdr-wiki.de/wiki/in…#Wiederholrate_zu_schnell das Programm anpassen kompilieren und beim Start des VDR mit starten. Vielleicht funktioniert das Programm ja auch mit lirc.

Ich habe es aus zeitlichen Gründen immer noch nicht geschafft, meine Activy nach deiner Anleitung zu pimpen, will das aber bald nachholen.
Ne kurze Zwischenfrage: Wie lange braucht deine Activy zum Booten? Meine aktuelle Gen2VdrAE dauert meiner Frau viel zu lange.....

Bei mir (AMD S-754 Athlon 3000+ @2Ghz DVB-C & S2 + eHD), werde ich sagen so um die 90 Sekunde Marke.

Ok ich habe der neue *.iso vom 14 oder das 19.10.04 von RMM heruntergeholt, und lo and behold IT WORKED!
Die neue schiebe vom RMM geht jetzt auf mein Intel ICH10 / JMicron, oder mindeste auf das JMicon Controller Bord.

P.s. Das muss ich auch evtl. auch ausprobieren d.h. direkt auf der ICH10 durch der Mainboard SATA verbindungen.

Leider habe ich kein lust o. zeit mehr mit das alles durch zu kämpfen.
Aber so irgendwann nächste wochenende bin ich schon auf diese sache.

Würde geil wann ich das eventuell alles mit dem Smartmaus ober der USB auf Serial verbindung herzustellen kann und da meine KNC-1 Karte mit der UM verfüttern kann.
