    Code
    cd /home/reel
    svn checkout svn://reelbox.org/stable
    ...

    Code
    root 5674 5542 6 18:16 ? 00:00:30 /usr/sbin/vdr --config=/etc/vdr --shutdown=/usr/sbin/mvdrshutdown --video=/media/reel/recordings --buffer=/media/hd/recordings -D0 -D1 -kchannels.conf -L /usr/lib/vdr -E /var/tmp/epg.data -r /usr/sbin/reccommand.sh -w 60 -l 3 --vfat --localedir=/usr/share/locale -Preelbox -P graphlcd -c /etc/graphlcd.conf -d st7565r -Premote -i /dev/input/rbfp0 -p tcp:2002 -Psetup -Pextrecmenu -Pundelete -Pchannelscan -Pfilebrowser -Pepgsearch -Pepgtimers -Pepgsearchonly -Pxinemediaplayer -P burn -d /media/reel/recordings -D /dev/dvd --iso=/media/hd/video/dvd -P dvdswitch -r /usr/sbin/dvdswitch_read.sh -w /usr/sbin/dvdswitch_write.sh -i /media/hd/video/dvd -Pfemon -Pstreamdev-client -Pstreamdev-server -Parghdirector -P osdteletext -d /tmp/tmpfs/vtx -P sleeptimer -e /usr/sbin/sleeptimer.sh -P mediad -m /usr/sbin/pmount.sh -Ppremiereepg -Ppin -Pradio -Pinstall -Pmediaplayerdvd -Pnetcv -Pnetcvupdate -Pripit -Pdpkg -Pdpkgopt -Pbgprocess -Pshoutcast -Pipod -Preelcam -Palcd -Paudioplayer -Pchannelscan -Pimageplayer -Pnetcvrotor -Posdpip -Preelblog -Pskinreel3 -f /usr/share/reel/skinfonts/ -l /usr/share/reel/skinreelng/channellogos -Pskinreelng -f /usr/share/reel/skinfonts/ -l /usr/share/reel/skinreelng/channellogos -Pvideoplayer -Pweatherng -D /etc/vdr/plugins/weatherng -I /etc/vdr/plugins/weatherng -S /etc/vdr/plugins/weatherng -Pwebbrowser -Pwwm

Entfernen war also unnötig.

    zum thema NETZWERK

    es empfielt sich in der
    /etc/default/mcli

    NETWORK_INTERFACE="eth9"

    oder ähnliches einzutragen

    oldreleases.ubuntu
geht bei zur zeit ohne Probleme.

  • Ichijoe good you have your remote working and i hope your lcd display

sorry to ask again but nobody no about the charset for the epg and lcd displays because is the only thing missing here

how to export charset like we export on vdr 1.7.x

because i add the line and nothing apain

    export LANG=pt_PT.UTF-8
    export LC_COLLATE=pt_PT.UTF-8
    export LC_ALL=pt_PT.UTF-8
    export VDR_CHARSET_OVERRIDE="ISO-8859-1"

    scubidoo
There is also an english reelbox board.
You might try to find a solution there: http://www.reelbox-support.co.uk
But it seems to be down right now.

  • I think we can forget about this Website I think most (and, I use the term here loosely) of the Posts there date back pretty much over a Year by now.
My guess is the good People in Brittan, have better things to drop a £1,100.00 (GBP), on, (And you thought the Reelbox was expensive enough at home! @ ca. 1,100.00€ (EUR).)
Those poor suckers have to pay pretty close to 1,300.00€ (EUR) for the same thing, and then without any support for MHEG-5 (i.e. Digital TeleText / Interactive Service), which is (or was) fairly close to what MHP offered German Users about 10 or so Years ago.
Sadly MHP Floped hard here and we still have analog Text Services in use.

So between a Sky+/Freesat+ (PVR) Recorders for a fraction of the Price and or a Reelbox. I'd probobly choose the Sky/Freesat options myself.
As those WORK! (Within UK/N.Ire Standards).

No I have the older VFD (Vacuum Fluorescent Display) 2x16 Display.
As much as I would love to be of some use for the others around here I really wouldn't know the first thing about it.

But according to this site: http://http://brakemeier.de/electronics/vdr/lirc-imon.html

It seems to me that unless you can use the newest version of lirc (v 0.8.5), your not going to find much joy with your iMon LCD type Display.
Again as you might already know Ubuntu only has the lirc-0.8.2 in there Gutsy Repositories. I suspect that would be to early for you.
Technically speaking even that is to early for me.
As the only Pad2Key Patches, (That I know to work are for 0.8.4a and of couse 0.8.5), and my iMon Pad Proper still sends the raw Mouse commands to the Receiver. :(
Somehow my Logitech Harmony One doesn't share this Problem and only sends the Commands for N/E/S/W.
Which is what I wanted it to do in the first place.
So the upshot is I didn't need a Pad2Keys Patch.
Besides I'm currently more interested in getting this thing to work with all my DVB Cards not just a Single TT S2-3200 or my (Sitting in the Draw probably collecting Dust because I could care less about it.), TT 2300-S FF Card.
I mean what's the point of that?!?!
    If I already have a Reel-eHD?
If it were that simple I would have stuck with Gen2VDR-v2.0 and had been done with it.

Back to topic I know from prior experiences with MythTV that LCDd and lcdproc are simple enough to install, and will do so as a final step in this ever ongoing um.... Quest.

Thank goodness I invested in a Second HDD at least now I can safely give up the Ghost and roll right back into my Gen2VDR-AE when I need to.

  • I don't know if the ReelVDR can handle different kinds of devices.
Because normally this stuff is handled by the netceiver.
It is definitly working with 2 S2 cards. Birdy has a setup like this.

It would also be interesting to know what happens in a configuartion wit a DVB-S and DVB-S2 card.
But it would need a new riser card with 3 slots and some tinker work to check this out.

1200€ for a reelbox is definitly too much. The interesting thing is that the ReelVDR is also running perfectly on a setup like mine, which is worth ~350€.
