Wenn ich auf meinem System einen nvidia-cs-Treiber nach Version 173.14.12 verwende (egal ob Beta oder Final), gibt es beim vdr keinen Ton mehr. Zumindest mit Kernel 2.6.25-17 war beispielsweise nach der Installation des alten Treibers tontechnisch wieder alles ok. Aber leider lässt sich der "alte" Treiber unter Kernel 2.6.27 nicht mehr kompilieren.
Hier die Eckdaten meines Systems:
Debian 4.04, 64-bit, nvidia-cs-treiber, Videoausgabe über vdr-sxfe (Ton:alsa)
Gibt es für das Problem eine Lösung?

Das "hda_codec: Unknown model for ALC883, trying auto-probe from BIOS" gab es schon unter anderen Kernel-Versionen und ist wohl nichts besonderes.
Der nvidia-Treiber hat beim Kompilieren nicht gemuckt- es gab noch nicht einmal Warnungen. Witzig ist, dass nach einem Austausch des nvidia-Treibers auf Version 173.14.12 alles wieder läuft, ohne auch nur eine andere Komponente verändert zu haben (beobachtet unter Kernel 2.6.25.17). Nur leider geht der Treiber nicht mehr unter Kernel 2.6.27.
Ebenfalls verblüffend ist, dass die Tonausgabe über den SPDIF-Ausgang des Boards auch bei den neueren Treibern funktioniert. Nur über den analogen Ausgang kommt nichts. Und das unabhängig davon, wie ich mit alsamixer herumgespiele.
Die Bildausgabe sowie der vdr als solcher funktionieren immer.

Ohne mir die Änderungen in 2.6.27 anzusehen, vielleicht hat sich irgendwas in Richtung IRQ verwändert.
Ich hatte auch mal nach einem Kernelupgrade IRQ Probleme. Schon mal in /var/log/messages oder /var/log/syslog nachgeschaut, ob da was auftaucht beim Treiberladen?? -
Bei einer erstren Betrachtung der syslog beim Boot der unterschiedlichen Kernel sind mir keine "Error" aufgefallen, die nicht schon vorher da gewesen wären.
Das Problem taucht aber nicht zwingend beim Kernelupdate auf, sondern auch unter dem "alten" Kernel 2.5.25.17, sobald ich zwischen unterschiedliche Versionen des nvidia-Treibers verwende (Version <=173.14.12 --> ok,Version >173.14.12 --> kein Ton am Analogausgang)

bei mir lag es daran, dass ich den vdr mit der oss-Emulation aoss gestartet habe. Das war für eine tadellose Wiedergabe von Musik mit mp3ng erforderlich. Keine Ahnung warum, jedenfalls gab diese Kombi ab Verison 173.14.12 keinen Mucks von sich. Nachdem ich den vdr ohne aoss gestartet habe, war der Ton auch bei neueren Nvidia-Treibern wieder in Ordnung.
