Newbie braucht Hilfe bei Auswahl/Installation

  • Hallo,


    stehe augenblicklich vor einem sehr großen Problem, dessen ich so augenblicklich nicht alleine Herr werde. Möchte daher Eure Hilfe in Anspruch nehmen.
    Folgender Sachverhalt:
    Eigentlich bin ich unter Windows zu Hause. Allerdings bin ich mit der dortigen Fernsehlösung nicht zufrieden. Daher möchte ich die Situation nutzen und mich in der Linux-Welt einleben. Leider gestalltet sich dieses Vorhaben doch ein wenig kompilzierter als gedacht.
    Ich habe eine TechnoTrend-premium Karte und habe heute eigentlich erfolgreich SuSe 10.2 installiert. Jetzt fangen meine Probleme an. Unter Kaffeine bekomme ich leider kein Fernsehbild zustande. Habe aufgrund mangelden Wissens auch keine Ahnung, wo ich als erstes nachschauen kann, ob meine TT-Karte richtig erkannt und installiert ist. Die Anzeige unter Yast sind mir diesbezüglich nicht aussagekräftig. Wie kann ich weiter verfahren?


    Mein Ziel soll sein: Ich möchte meinen Computer als Videorekorder benutzen. Am liebsten wäre es mir, dass ich über ein Programm, wie ich es unter Windows als TVGenial kenne ( unter Linux gibt es ja ein ähnliches Programm), die aufzunehmende Sendung einfach nur markieren muß. Das Programm übergibt dann die Aufnahmezeiten und alles an den VCR. Der Computer soll auch bei ausgeschaltetem Zustand selbständig hochfahren und die Entsprechende Sendung aufnehmen und nach erfolgter Aufnahme wieder runterfahren. Irgendwann soll dann die aufgenommene Datei auf eine DVD gebrannt werden und später gemütlich am DVD-Player wieder abgespielt werden. Schau halt nicht so gerne vorm Computer Fernseh.


    Welche Art von VCR würde sich für meine Ansprüche anbieten? Habe zwar schon mir einen gewissen Überblick verschafft, kann aber die Vor- und Nachteile nicht abschätzen. Eine ausführliche Installationsanleitung die einem Anfänger wie mir zeigt, wie alle anfallenden Klippen zu umschiffen sind, wäre natürlich super genial.


    Ach so, mein Motherboard unterstützt das Hochfahren aus dem Ruhezustand. Hat zumindest unter Windows geklappt.

    Für einen PC der als Videorekorder dienen soll eignet sich die Software VDR hervoragend.


    Den VDR kann man wie hier beschrieben http://www.vdr-wiki.de/wiki/index.php/VDR_Installation installieren.


    Meist wählt man jedoch eine fertige VDR-Distribution welche diverse VDR-Aspekte, insbesondere die Konfiguration des VDRs und des Systems berücksichtigt und vereinfacht.


    Ausgewachsene Linux-Distributionen eignen sich gelegentlich nur sehr eingeschränkt als Basis für einen VDR, da man häufig sehr viel Handarbeit anlegen muss, wenn diese nicht durch fleißige VDR-User/Entwickler bereits geleistet wurde.


    Um dir nun in diesem Distributionsdjungel einen Weg weisen zu können ist folgende Frage entscheidend:


    Wie möchtest du deinen PC als VDR nutzen?


    Bei der Beantwortung der Frage ist folgendes wichtig:
    - Welche Hardware verwendest du. (DVB-Karte, Mainboard, CPU, Speicher..)
    - An welches Ausgabegerät wird der VDR angeschlossen (PAL-TV, hochauflösendes LCD-Display...)
    - Soll AC3 verwendet werden?
    - Soll auf dem VDR-Rechner auch noch andere Software laufen?
    - Wie tief möchtest du dich in Linux einarbeiten?

    wahnsinn, mit so schnellen Antworten hatte ich wahrhaftig nicht gerechnet. Super !!!


    Meine Hardware: Ein Pentium 4 mit 3GHz, 1024 MB Ram, Siemens Motherboard, WD und Samsung Festplatte, TT-Premium (keine Ahnung welches Rel.)


    Hauptaufgabe meines PC[ soll nicht der VCR sein. Es sollen nur hin und wieder (ca 3 Sendungen die Woche) aufgenommen werden. Daher auch automatisches Hoch- und Runterfahren des PC[. Die Sendungen selber möchte ich mir auch nicht am PC ansehen, sondern würde diese auf DVD archivieren und gemütlich am DVD-Player am normalen Fernseher wieder anschauen. Auf AC3 lege ich keine großen Wert.


    Grundsätzlich besteht bei mir schon interesse tiefer in die Linux-Welt einzudringen. Allerdings denke ich, dass man bei gewissen Sachen ( C#) nicht so ohne weiteres an Windows vorbei kommt.


    Habe gerade kurz Eure Links überflogen. Sieht schon recht interssant aus. Werde morgen, im ausgeruhten Zustand mir die Seiten zu Gemühte führen und dann sicherlich mit neuen, für euch sicherlich langweiligen, Fragen wieder melden.

    schau doch mal unter /lib/firmware nach ob da
    dvb-ttpci-01.fw vorhanden ist.


    Ansonsten Paket dvb (+ vdr) mit yast nachinstallieren?


    Wenn das alles schon da ist, dann wäre die Frage nach diseqc-Einstellung
    bzw. Deine Sat-config ?

    also, habe mir ein Image von LinVDR erstellt.Nachdem die Installationsdatei gestartet wird, erhalte ich nach allgemeinem BlaBla die Meldung "Keine IDE-Festplatte für Installation gefunden". Tortzdem komme ich zum nächsten Installationsschritt. Dort wähle ich eine Festplatte aus. Im nächsten Schritt soll die ausgewählte Festplatte partiontioniert werden. Dort erhalte ich dann die Meldung "Die ausgewählte Partition ist nicht beschreibbar". Folglich komme ich in der Installation auch nicht mehr weiter. Habe zwei S-Ata Festplatten in meinem System drin. Können nur normale IDE-Festplatten verwendet werden?
    Außerdem stört es mich doch sehr, dass er all meine Dataen löschen will. Möchte den VDR doch eigentlich sozusagen neben meinem Windows laufen lassen. Geht das irgendwie über einen Bootmanager wie Lilo oder sieht das schlecht aus?

  • Wenn Du linvdr 0.7 im Original probiert hast, geht es nicht.
    Dann versuch mal

    Ist im Prinzip ein wesentlich aktuelleres linvdr.


    Aber was war denn mit Suse? schon wieder gelöscht?

    Suse lebt noch, sozusagen dank der abgebrochenen Linvdr. Unter Suse wäre mir ein VDr eigentlich (trotz meiner Unwissenheit) auch am liebsten. Welchen weg müßte ich den gehen? die Installation sollte sich recht einfach gestalten wegen Newbie.

    Paket vdr und dvb instaliert sind.
    Dann erstmal in der Console prüfen ob vdr rennt.
    "ps aux|grep vdr" wenn nicht dann mal:
    "/etc/init.d/vdr start" eingeben.
    wenn immer noch nicht dann mal posten was im log steht:
    "cat /var/log/messages"

  • Hallo Hans,


    hast Du Windows und Suse auf dem gleichen Rechner ? Dann geht das nicht mit dem autom. Hochfahren für Aufnahmen.


    Du bekommst vdr sicher unter Suse zum Laufen, aber die 200 Plugins die einem das Leben leicht machen sicher nicht. Ganz zu schweigen von einer Fernbedienung und Fernsehbild auf dem Computermonitor (fbtv).


    Nimm lieber einen alten PC (>400 MHz) mit eigener Festplatte (>40GB), sowas hat man noch rumliegen oder bekommst Du sicher geschenkt. Installiere dann LinVDR oder LinVDR von Mahlzeit.
    Bei Standardkomponenten läuft der VDR dann nach 10 Min.


    Das mit dem Aufnehmen auf DVD halte ich für unpraktikabel !


    Du verbrauchst viel Zeit und viele Rohlinge zum Brennen (obwohl das brennen in LinVDR mit ein paar tastendrücken der Fernbedienung sehr komfortabel startet). Ausserdem hast Du mit dem DVD-Player viel weniger Komfort beim Anschauen :
    Vor und zurückspringen in Minutenschritten geht nicht, Werbung autom. rausschneiden kannste nicht benutzen.


    Beim VDR kannst Du schon während der Aufnahme den Film anschauen, inkl. Werbung überspringen.


    Besser ist es den Fernseher im Wohnzimmer an den PC anzuschließen. Also entweder einen Wohnzimmertauglichen PC zu bauen (hoher WAF) oder einen VDR-Client zu bauen, z.B. MVP.
    Oder lange Kabel.


    Bastel erstmal einen VDR, dann wirst Du schon sehen wie Du ihn benutzt (sicher öfter als Du denkst).

  • Habe unter Yast kontrolliert. Bei VDR und DVB sind jeweils ein Haken dahinter. Gehe also davon aus, dass die Programme installiert sind. Nach Eingabe von "ps aux|grep vdr" erhalte ich die Ausgabe: 1000 5314 0.0 0.0 2884 768 pts/0 S+ 20:48 0:00 grep vdr
    Nach Eingabe von "/etc/init.d/vdr start" erhalte ich "Starting Video Disk Recorder Couldnt get a file descriptor referring to the console

    Du mußt das als root ausführen.


    Sprich in der Console mal "su -" eingeben, dann wirst Du nach dem
    root Kennwort gefragt.


    dann wie oben geschrieben.

    "cat /var/log/messages" (Den blank nach cat nicht vergessen ;)

  • hjs : Wenn das BIOS bootet woher weiss er dass er dann Linux booten soll und nicht Windows ?


    Wenn man Windows runterfährt und nicht auf Linux umschaltet bootet er dann für die Aufnahme das Windows, und die Aufnahme ist futsch.


    Ist nur meine Meinung, ich habe keine Dual-Boot-Systeme. Habe einen eigenen Rechner für VDR.
    Und wenn ich das bräuchte würde ich 2 Festplatten und einen Umschalter nehmen, ist sicherer.

    Das kann man doch in jedem Bootloader einstellen.


    Verwendet man den Windows-Bootloader,
    dann einfach in der c:\boot.ini ändern.
    (Oder Arbeitsplatz-Eigenschaften,Erweitert, Starten-Wiederherstellen-Eigenschaften)


    Man kann sich ja auch eine Kopie von der hidden-Datei erstellen oder sich was scripten ...

    Der Bootmanager ist so eingestellt, dass nach Ablauf einer gewissen Zeit ohne Eingabe Linux automatisch gestartet wird. Funktioniert eigentlich super.

    Hast Du mal einen TV an den Ausgang der TT-Karte angeschlossen?
    Ist dort ein Bild zu sehen?

  • Habe Kaffeine gestartet und nach Sendern gesucht. Findet auch allerhand Sender. Wenn ich jetzt einen bestimmten Sender sehen möchte, erhalte ich von xine einen Fehler: Kein Modul gefunden um diese Quelle zu handhaben /home/.../.kaxtv.ts
    Unter Deatails steht dann noch :xine: Kann keinen Demultiplexer für >/home/Hansbausn/.kaxtv1.ts< finden
