[0.6] kein Bild...

Hallo !

ich kriege nach dem Start kein Bild mehr... nur noch den Konsole login...
Ich hab ja schon selber an den Threads hier im Forum mitgewirkt.. aber nach 4 Stunden bin ich mit meinem Latein am Ende....
Ich wollte meinen 0.5er auf 0.6 hochziehen... (VDR aus der Signatur)
Ich hab schon alle Treiber durch habe ja quasi ein Zbox als Vorlage (die hat ja statt der GT630 eine GT640 drinne...

Ich hab noch etwas gegraben und in /var/log/upstart/openbox.log (habe --debug eingeschaltet)

Hi !

Jetzt ja, aber leider mit dem selben Ergebnis......
u.U. setz ich es heute abend nochmal neu auf..
Bei der Installation hatte ich den Effekt das meine Netzwerkanschluss aufeinmal nicht mehr am switch mit Gbit laufen wollte... nur an einem 100 Mbit switch...
(ist ne Onbiard Realtek auf dem asus board

Warte mit dem Neuaufsetzen ggf. bis yavdr 0.6.1, denn das ISO wird sicherlich besser sein.
Ansonsten einfach mal einen neueren Kernel installieren. Das 0.6.0-ISO hinterlässt leider komische Reste des Installationskernels 3.16, deshalb gibt es so viele komische Probleme. Eine Installation von 3.19 oder 4.2 scheint da meist Abhilfe zu schaffen.

Wir arbeiten gerade an 0.6.1 mit 3.13 als Installationskernel, dann sollte es hoffentlich keine solchen Probleme mehr geben.

Hi !

Ich hab gleich nach der Installation den Kernel auf 3.19 hochgezogen (wie bei meiner Zbox auch) bei der musste ich nur in /etc/default/grub was aendern damit der nvidia treiber geladen wurde.. das scheint aber hier nicht das Problem zu sein.
btw: ich lad mir die neue iso grad runter.... bis Feierabend ist ja noch ein bisschen hin.. dann kann ich daheim loslegen...
zum Thema Netzwerkkarte... mich macht nur stutzig das vorher darauf die 0.5a lief..... ohne probleme

Auch Kerneltreiber sind nicht gefeit vor Regressions. Aber merkwürdig ist das schon.

Hüstel? Krümel im Hals?

Aktuelles ISO 0.6.1 gibt es noch nicht öffentlich, nur für spezielle Tester mit komischen Problemen. Aber ich vermute, am Sonntag oder nächste Woche wird es ein richtiges 0.6.1 geben.
Das brauchen aber nur die, die noch Probleme haben und neu installieren wollen. Der Rest bekommt den Kram sowieso per Updates.

würde mich, wenn möglich, mit meinen komischen Problemen wohl auch zum Testen anbieten da die Empfangsprobleme immer noch da sind.

Die Meldung ist glaube ich nicht ursächlich dafür, dass der X-Server nicht hochkommt - gibt es eine /etc/X11/xorg.conf.yavdr und /var/log/Xorg.*.log Dateien?

Kann es sein, dass dein Bildschirm bzw. Receiver keine brauchbaren EDID-Daten liefern (z.B. weil sie zu dem Zeitpunkt nicht eingeschaltet waren)?
Der X-Server wird durch den Upstart-Job /etc/init/xorg-launcher.conf gestartet - das scheint schon schiefzugehen, die Meldungen für openbox sind dann Folgefehler.

Daran dürfte das ganze scheitern - was passiert. wenn der VDR direkt am TV hängt? Kann man bei dem Onkyo irgendwie einstellen, welche Auflösungen er anbietet?

Hi !

ich hab ja meine Zbox aus der Signatur schon aufgesetzt.. ich hatte auch noch die "alte" edid...
also alte edid + xorg.conf von der Zbox... Voila => geht

BTW: die Ganze zeit ging das ja auch das man per Webif die edid ausliest.... evtl. hat ja die 352 damit ein Problem.....

Ich glaube ich kann das nachvollziehen - das scheint zu passieren, wenn die /etc/X11/xorg.conf.yavdr erstellt wurde, bevor /etc/init/display-device.conf einmal aufgerufen wurde, dann kommt das Template durcheinander und setzt leere Optionen für verbundene Displays und verfügbare Modi. Ich versuche das mal in unstable gerade zu ziehen und dann nach stable und testing zu bringen.

[0.6] kein Bild...

Jetzt mitmachen!
