Im Reelimage ist der VDR nach 35s am Laufen. Aktuell brauche ich in bm2lts 95s.
Ca. 5s gehen auf eine verlängerte Bios Bootzeit durch den Einbau der Nvidia Grafik GT720. Der Rest der 60s mehr gegenüber dem Reelimage sind also das Thema hier:

Also mal nachsehen, ob die Stecker fest sitzen und die Kabel keine Knicke oder Bruchstellen haben, dann den Festplattenstatus überprüfen.
Dann könnte man mal ohne plymouth starten (das verzögert den Boot-Prozess ein paar Sekunden und versperrt dir den Blick auf die Kernel-Meldungen beim Starten: https://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Plymouth/#Deaktivieren
Also z.B. in der /etc/default/grub diesen Parameter setzen (falls die Variable noch andere Sachen enthält, am besten nachlesen, wozu die gut sind und im Zweifelsfall beibehalten)und dann in die eigentliche Boot-Konfiguration übernehmen:
Um zu visualisieren, wann die einzelnen Dienste während des Boot-Vorgangs gestartet werden und wie lange sie laufen, kannst du BootChart konfigurieren, um einen Überblick zu bekommen, wann welcher Dienst gestartet wird: https://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/BootChart/
Wenn du auffällige Lücken oder Verzögerungen entdeckst, gehst du mit dem Wissen aus http://upstart.ubuntu.com/cookbook/ bewaffnet auf die Suche in den Konfigurationsdateien für die entsprechenden SysVinit- und Upstart-Jobs. -

Da muss jemand ran, der sich mit den Besonderheiten von BM2LTS auskennt und eine Idee hat, wie es prinzipiell funktionieren sollte - fröhliches Logschnipselraten ist für mich nicht wirklich zielführend...

Im konkreten Beispiel ist der Startsender DMAX = 22.

das ist die Std.Distri ... hab auch erst jetzt gesehen dass das drin ist, wie disable ich es (bin Linux noob ? Muss ich Einträge in p.sxx,conf
false setzen !Wenn JA, welches der Verzeichnisse reel, reel.box, reel.mcli,... ist denn für mich als AVG1 User relevant ?

Dürfte wohl das etc/reel/p.sxxxx.conf sein. Tats. bringt das 20s. Gibt es auch einen Weg, das Plugin zu laden und in dessen conf was zu ändern ... ich hatte es ja auch im reelimage drin und da benötigte es auch keine 20s ?

sollte es schneller gehen mit dem Start.Grüße

Könntest du mir bitte trotzedm sagen, ob ich das Plugin so konfiguirieren kann, dass es aktiv ist (ich nutze es derzeit nicht, möchte es aber aktiv lassen) und keine 20s frisst !

Die unnötigen DHCPDISCOVER Meldungen sind natürlich weg, wenn man die nicht benötigten Schnittstellen 0 und 2 in der interfaces einfach auskommentiert...
Keine Ahnung, ob evtl. auf diese Schnittstellen beim booten irgendwie gewartet wird...
Beim Vergleich der Bootzeiten sollten natürlich erst mal zwei gleich gute und fehlerfreie Platten verwendet werden, den wenn da Plattenfehler auftauchen...
Ich kann halt auch nicht beurteilen, was aus dem NVIDIA Setup evtl. an Zeitverlust kommt...

Ich nutze bouquets und habe seit Jahren meine eigene Kanalliste die ich immer wieder mitnehme.
Und da sind halt die ersten 100 Kanäle die drinstehen, meine eigenen Favoriten

Wichtig ist ja nur, dass man beim Scrollen nicht die restl. xxxx durchlläuft !
Ist das Plugin enthalten und muss ich das mit p.xxx.conf aktivieren ? Was hast du bei OK=???? dann eingestellt ?

Nein, daß ist dann nicht so bei mir, es kommen dahinter auch noch die anderen Kanäle.
Aber das stört doch nicht, denn mit einem Druck auf die 1 bin ich wieder oben.
p.bouquets.conf muss auf "True" gesetzt werden (reelchannellist auf False)
Mit OK gehe ich in die Kanalliste, ist Standardeinstellung...

Ev. hilfts ja wem... Als Linux noob hat mich die Suche jedenfalls einige Stunden gekostet. Die guten Ideen sind von hier:

Die Inhalte von Factory und dem tar sind jedenfalls nicht ident.Zur Factory:
Zuerst aus BM2LTS_V2.89_RC9_Route66_Release.iso
sda1 = sda4.ext4-ptcl-img.gz.aa oder sda4 = sda4.ext4-ptcl-img.gz.aa
kopieren (am Ubuntu desktop mittels nautilus und Kontextmenü zur Archivverwaltung).Vorab musste ich noch partclone installieren ...
In meinem Fall gings um sda4:
Codecat /media/hd/home/patch/0_bm/sda4.ext4-ptcl-img.gz.aa | gzip -d -c | sudo partclone.restore -C -s - -O /media/hd/home/patch/0_bm/bm289sda4.img sudo resize2fs /media/hd/home/patch/0_bm/bm289sda4.img sudo mount -o loop -t ext4 /media/hd/home/patch/0_bm/bm289sda4.img /media/hd/home/patch/0_bm/bm289sda4
Die Pfade /media/hd/home/.... sind natürlich anzupassen

Läuft die reelchannellist bei einem von euch beim druck auf OK ??
Im Setup Sprache... hab ich für die OK Taste = Favoriten eingestellt.
Weiter
hab ich gesehen, dass in reelchannellist die favorites.conf auf
channels.conf verlinkt ist. Also hab ich den Link durch meine favorites.conf ersetzt.
Drücke ich nun OK passiert ein DVD eject statt der Favoritenanzeige. Stelle ich bei OK=Fav.Ordner ein kommen Favoriten inkl. der Ordnerstruktur.Code

Ich habe mich jetzt die letzen Tage in das Forum eingelesen und auf eine neue SSD in meiner AVG II das „Stable v2.80A“ zum Testen aufgespielt. Das
hat sehr gut geklappt.Obwohl ich einige Einträge im Forum gelesen habe, sind für mich immer noch ein paar Fragen offen:
Ich habe am VGA Anschluß für die Konsole einen Monitor angeschlossen (via DVI kam nach dem Bild am Start kein darstellbares Signal mehr an –
daher bin ich auf VGA zurück). Wenn ich nun mit Kodi einen Film laufen lasse, läuft der nur mit starken Aussetzern. Der Ton ist okay. Ich habe die Standard AMD CPU der AVG II mit 4 GB Speicher in der Reelbox.Wie bekomme ich eine Bildausgabe ohne Störungen hin?
- Upgrade auf eine bessere CPU?
- Oder habe ich nur mit dem Einbau einer zusätzlichen Grafikkarte eine Chance?
Falls ja, welche Grafikkarte wäre empfehlenswert? - Oder ist das alles nicht so richtig vielversprechend und der Übergang zu einen NUC basierenden System wäre der empfehlenswertere Weg?
