You can create a bootable image on an USB stick - but you can't use the tool UNetbootin to do so. It won't work! On Ubuntu (or booting from the standard Ubuntu Live CD) you can create a bootable image of yaVDR via usb-creator-gtk or usb-creator-kde (more infos). Currently, we are evaluating reliable instructions on how to create the USB stick from Windows.
Ich habe mir daher mal das ISO angeschaut und festgestellt, dass es noch kein Hybrid-ISO ist, welches sowohl auf CD, also auch direkt auf einen Stick geschrieben werden kann.
Folgende Schritte sind notwendig, um das ISO nach erfolgtem Download nachträglich zu einem Hybrid-ISO zu machen [2] und einen bootfähigen USB-Stick zu erstellen:
sdX steht hier für eueren USB-Stick!
Eventuell müsst ihr zuvor noch das Paket syslinux, welches isohybrid beinhaltet, mittels
installieren.
Unter Windows kann mittels Win32DiskImager [1] das modifizierte ISO auf einen USB-Stick geschrieben werden.
Wenn das bei allen so gut klappt wie bei mir, wäre zu überlegen, ob nicht ein ISO-Hybrid-Image zum Download angeboten werden könnte, würde die Installation auch unter Linux vereinfachen.
