yavdr 0.4 - USB TV Card recognition ( Technisat Skystar USB 2 HD )

  • Hello, i am new to yavdr Distribution and having some beginners problems within that "special" kind of distribution (i mean pure vdr) without any startmenu or devicemanager.

No TV Options in Yavdr Configurations via Firefox Localhosts configs for a beginner :)
The Only Channels used by yavdr are IPTV channels. How to activate / check and use my USB SAT Tuner?
My TV Card is a Technisat SkyStar USB 2 HD CI.
in lsusb, my DVB-S2 device is shown. But i even cant copy and paste from and to the terminal?!?
wtf :) How to copy and paste within the SU terminal. :wand

The correct firmware is already in /lib/firmware but where and how to activate the correct configs / Drivers for my TV Card and tell yavdr to use it?!
Please help me to get into yavdr. Thanks in advance.

  • Hi,
have you ever heard about SSH to access an Linux-PC?
For your channels: There is a nice blopost covering this topic: http://www.yavdr.org/blog/permalink/48/

Copy is selecting with mouse and paste is clicking on the middle mouse button, but what do you want to copy and paste?
It should simply work. Just get a channels.conf like it is explained in the post before, and try it before you break it with your shell experiments.

cp, mv, mkdir, rm, rmdir - was fehlt dir? http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Shell :unsch
