Kein Ton bei HD Sendern

Hmmm,
vielleicht so was einfaches wie das bei HD-Sendern die Audioausgabe auf 5.1 steht, aber über HDMI nur Ton ausgegeben wird wenn Du auf Stereo umschaltest?
"Menü" "F2/Grün"=Audio > auswählen
Ansonsten, was hast du denn konfiguriert?

wenn kein Audio verfügbar sein sollte, kann das aber nur an der Channels.conf liegen.
Ich habe die Sender der ersten Reihe in HD (ARD, ZDF, Arte, eins festival) da kann ich auswählenob Stereo über HDMI oder DD über meine Anlage,
früher bei Anixe HD hatte ich jedoch nur Ton über meinen Sherwood-Receiver und keinen Stereoton über HDMI, ob der jetzt noch geht weiß ich gar nicht.

Wichtig war allerdings die erstmalige Konfiguration über das WEB Frontend!

most of the non-hd channels play no problem, speaker-test plays no problem.
any hd channel - no audio available. but it plays *perfectly fine over streamdev* to my pc and laptop.

is it alsa? is it nvidia drivers?

bei HD+ wird m.W. nur in Dolbydigital uebertragen.... schalte ich Dolby Digital verwenden im Setup auf aus, dann kriege ich bei diesen sendern kein audio als verfuegbar angezeigt. Evtl. musst du im setup downmix eintragen (afair im WIF von yavdr)

If this is a try to threaten us, then this will not work. Go for it! To build your own vdr you would have to know the source of the problem, so you can circumvent it. On the other hand if you know the reason already you could simply tell it to us, so we could try to fix it.

Das Problem bei decembersoul scheint wirklich Einstellungssache (wie ist die Einstellung da hingekommen ?) - für mich geht es problemfrei. iec958, stereo , pass trough, hdmi stereo, hdmi pass through, analog. Kein Problem. evtl mal die setup.conf vergleichen (siehe Kommentar gerdh)

bioh: either its like gerh writes that dolby digital is not enabled and those on channels with NO mp2 you will not have output. Or wrong setup, or wrong expectations ;)) xine config, xineliboutput config, setup.conf and some details on the setup (what is connected to where) would be a minimum requirement to get a usefull base for debugging.

just, honestly, wasted many many hours on this, and when i do try to get support nearly everything is in german

my only expectation is sound and video so not too high i hope

my yavdr box is connected to the receiver via dvi -> hdmi cable
i also have coax and optical cables connected (optical out and coax out, just to see which output i'm getting, if any)

i tried the dolby digital on and off but still no luck.

quick check shows the settings look fine (configured for optical/coax out!) - will check this evening again.

Most people are not aware that some/most TVs only can play stereo PCM and nothing else. Those it can be you dont get audo because of that. Should not be a problem here.

only remaining idea: are these channels somehow special coded like E-AC3 ? We got reports that this is broken in our packages, but we did not get feedback yet what is breaking it so we could not follow up yet.

maybe someone else can doublecheck as well the settings

just wanted to say, i've reinstalled vdr and compiled everything myself

i now have sound on all channels.

i will have to leave yavdr for a bit will try to come back in awhile, maybe this will have been resolved.

and will come back soon as i can =).

no sound on anything hd with yavdr is just not usable for me.
but i will keep trying to get it to work (have it on another drive), maybe i can help with a solution.

bioh, there is NO eAC3 on anything we can receive, reports it works for you doesnt help us to solve the problem. Most of the patches are there for a reason, just removing all and we will get other complains. So EITHER someone with possibility is helping us to track it down OR NOTHING will happen. I dont know how to magically fix it w/o being able to reproduce. HD TV with multichannel audio is working perfect for me. Anyway , good luck
