Da weder scr.conf noch unicable.conf vorhanden war, frage ich mich ob das System hinreichend für SCR gepatcht ist. Es handelt sich um ein Gen2VDR V3 Update9 mit VDR 1.7.26 und helaus ext (Gen2VDR extension Patch - VDR 1.7.26). patch. Was meint ihr?

Habe gerade das Unicable Bundle von DigitalDevices bestellt. Entweder es klappt oder halt nicht. Dann wird der ein legacy port ins Wohnzimmer geschleift (anstatt SCR) und halt ein Tuner vorerst deaktiviert. Kann hier leider den VDR nur blind konfigurieren und nicht testen (habe DVB-C).

Können wir nach den Diskussionen zur Distribution wieder zur Frage zurück kommen? Habe mich nach meinen Erfahrungen der schlingernden 0.6+ easyVDR Zeit eine neue Distribution gesucht. Ist halt stabil und hat in der Regel auch gute Updates. yaVDR hatte ich auch schon auf der Testplatte aufgespielt. Tolle Ansätze, kam mir aber etwas ungestüm vor. Ein Kollege hier in der Schweiz schwört auf yaVDR, der benutzt aber auch xbmc sehr intensiv und weniger VDR. Wir verzetteln uns hier mit Distributionstheorien. Es geht hier um ein reines VDR Thema.
Woran erkenne ich, dass der VDR wirklich für SCR gepatcht ist? Hat KLS das eingebaut oder wird das in jeder Distribution separat gemacht (ext. Patch). Angeblich soll er das ja seit 1.7.23 oder so sein. Dann sollte doch aber eine scr.conf im VDR Config Verzeichnis sein??

Ich werde im Sommer meine 3 "Legacy-Kabel" zum VDR auch umrüsten auf Unicable-SCR mit einer SPAUN SUS 5581/33. Die S2-3200 fliegt raus und wird durch eine Cine S2 V6 ersetzt.
Es ist jetzt schon eng: 1x Frau, 1x Bub, 2 Aufnahmen und der Papa... Ach

Was ich noch nicht gefunden habe, ist, wie die scr.conf mit 2 Unicabel @ 2 Kanäle zu konfigurieren ist? Wird sich zeigen, hab ja noch ein bisserl Zeit.

Ja, aber wie kann ich das ohne Sat Anschluss kontrollieren? Ist bei einem VDR 1.7.22+ standardmässig die scr.conf im VDR Config Verzeichnis (/etc/vdr/ oder was auch immer definiert ist)? G2V hat per Standard nur vdr-1.7.21 drinne. Wenn Du nun manuell auf 1.7.26 "updatest" dann musst Du natuerlich auch die conf Dateien die Du benoetigst hochziehen

Gentoo Fan bin ich nicht. Das betrifft NICHT Gen2VDR, ich habe sie nie probiert.

Wenn es ein Update für G2V mit VDR 1.7.26 gibt und die entsprechende Dateien für Unicable/SCR vorhanden und konfiguriert sind, was soll da schief gehen!

Die scr.conf ist natürlich bei Helaus VDR 1.7.26 dabei - im /usr/local/src/vdr-1.7.26-g2v-ext Verzeichnis. Da ist dann auch die diseqc.conf, die schon die SCR Werte enthält und nicht mehr unicable. Diese könnte man bei einem frisch installierten System nach /etc/vdr kopieren. Die Dateien werden nicht automatisch kopiert (Helau hat da so ein schönes build Skript), um keine bestehenden Konfigurationen zu überschreiben - logisch :wand

Ich lasse die confs erst einmal so weit wie sie sind und schaue mal wie das die Tage klappt. Digital Devices hat heute die bestellten Teile verschickt.
